Classic way that happens is someone checks your air and turns it all the way off and 1/4 turn back on, cause they never learned "Righty tighty, lefty loosy"

Re: 25 dollars for what????
Recently there is a word out about a significant fee increase for a night dive at Keystone Jetty. They supposedly upped it to 25 bucks. It still remains unclear as to 25 dollars a person? A party? Or a car? The site is amazing and a great training and photography grounds. Well, there is a warm indo...

Wow! This is a tough crowd! 500 dives makes you a beginner? 20 years ago 100 dives in the Northwest made me a better than average diver on a Mexican boat. I think I'm seeing more clearly what "Clicky" means.

Two no parking signs on the same post. Post ever so nicely cemented in. No city name in small lettering on the sign. Doesn't look like city work. But I have no idea. http://www.roadtrafficsigns.com/no-parking-within-30-feet-sign/sku-k-9378-30 http://www.roadtrafficsigns.com/parking-sign/no-parking-a...

Kinda archaic, the Bill of Rights. Today who really cares if the government wants to have a few soldiers live in your house. The government pays for the house anyway!

Probably depends on what you want and who has it and what their price is. I don't think you will find a single best source. DRIS is a great supplier.

Re: Hyperbaric trip experience/getting bent call for insight
We use nitrox almost every dive. I don't see any disadvantage of staying away from the no deco limits. It adds some cost but not so much in the whole scheme of a vacation. Hope everything goes alright now!

That's easy with my vehicle! So I'm a REAL scuba diver!Echo wrote:I hear you're not a real scuba diver until you've spent more money on the gear inside the vehicle you haul it around in than you did on the vehicle itself.

And some have been diving 30 years. And gear back then was almost as many dollars as it is now, but the dollars were bigger.

Re: Worthington vs. Faber Tanks
Those little rust spots are annoying! If you have air that has a -65 deg dewpoint at atmospheric pressure the dewpoint at 3500 PSI is 43 degrees. Not hard for us to get condensation and I suppose the nitrox doesn't help things.

Re: Weighting Question
If your wing has 34lb lift in fresh water it will have about 2 1/2% more lift in salt water. And your total body and equipment weight will be 2 1/2% more too with the extra 2 1/2% being lead.

Are these guys continuous blending? If so it is easy to miscalibrate the sensor by leaving it in the mixing stick. The O2 level in my stick stays a little high even several days after I'm done pumping. I've caught myself recalibrating to that level. Then it would take more O2 to get it to read the l...

Re: Port Townsend
I meant to put an exclamation point not a question mark. Keystone has similar good tides and we plan to dive there the 23rd and 24th and then be on a charter in the San Juans the 25th. It is unfortunate that I spend more time on NWDC than diving but I don't find much joy in the lakes over on the dry...
