Val, when I was in the market to buy one several years back, I did a bunch of research into the whole 'brightness' and lumens issue. I wanted a projector that would be bright enough, at far enough distance back, to be viewable, even in some ambient light. I got an InFocus X1 and wound up paying $150...

The Owens beach is a critter countin' dive day hosted by Valerie and Georgia, no classes that day. It's also a chance for folks who need their two dives for the PADI cert to get them completed that day. I do not know of when the next class will be...I know that the SeaDoc Society is going to try to ...

Cost of the PADI cert add-on is $75 per class. You'll have to choose between either the fish or invert class certification, because there are two dives PER CLASS required, and we're only doing 2 on that Saturday. You can finish up the other one on Sat Oct 28th at Owens beach though if you like. Ther...

The shore dives are free, no cost, but you provide all your gear, air, tanks and are responsible for yourself...might be a good idea to arrange for a buddy you like diving with too. As far as nearby accomodations, Belfair is about 10 miles away from the thriving metropolis of Bremerton, and about 20...

Back from Pacific Adventure Charters!
Val and I spent a GORGEOUS day on Hood Canal yesterday with Don and Diane and various and sundry assorted governmental types. Four of us were diving, and 2 were non divers, just along for the ride and cameraderie. (of which there was PLENTY!) If you do happen to go on their boat, look for the little...

Photos of new stairs at Les Davis!!
Saturday, Sept 9th was the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new stairs. I was able to attend and posted photos on the WSA website for you to gawk at! And then after the ceremony, I just had to try 'em out for myself for a couple of dives. My old feeble knees really appreciated the stairs and hand rai...

Please VOTE! Scuba License Plates
WSA has been working on the idea of putting together a scuba diving license plate for the residents of Washington State. It's a VERY long drawn out, expensive process involving a huge chunk of money, a good design, and about 3500 signatures from divers who might be interested. The earliest the plate...
