Re: For those who can't make the August 5th Deep Sea dives..

We have a few spots open on our monthly San Juans dive this Sunday, August 6th. We're doing 3 tanks with a departure time of 8am I believe. Sites are Davidson Rock (my favorite!), Williamson, and Sares Head. If anyone's interested send me a pm for details. Brian Always a fun time, but I'm getting a...

I'm pretty much with Brian on this one (can you tell we had some of the same instructor trainers?) Descents while facing each other are particularly important ... too many recreational divers split up on the descent, which means that if one of you has a problem on the descent (a place where problems...

Yes, I think I-Beams and Olive's Den in Cove 2 are best chances. Want to take a picture, but don't want to tick them off. I know GD took video, but is that because a flash is a bad idea or what? No ... it's because I had the wrong camera for still photography in dark, murky waters. He didn't seem t...

I say "great idea"! You're learning more than just OOA skills ... you're also reinforcing the notion that there's more to being a dive buddy than just staying close to each other. Communication and learning "predictable behavior" skills are important to a good buddy team. It's al...

Sekiu/Neah Bay

Got in my 1,500th dive this past week-end ... in Neah Bay. This was the annual Emerald Seas Dive Club trip. Cheng and I just went for the week-end, althoug some of the crew are still out there. We did two dives off of Porthole Charters, and two dives in Sekiu. Our original plan was to also do a dive...

He found us, actually. We were at the I-beams ... had just passed six divers heading back in ... when he swam toward us from the deep end. Are you getting your Halcyon wing from 5th-Dimension in Issaquah? If not, you should go there and talk to Mark about them - he's one of the largest Halcyon dealers. First time I've ever seen a Dendronotis Iris nudibranch in Cove 2. Wonder what it's doing there ... hope it sticks around.

Don't mean to be rude here ... but perhaps you guys should start your own Mentos and Coke thread.

This one was supposed to be about my Gas Management Seminar, and I'd like to not bury that topic with a thread hijack.

Thanks ...
