Yikes! Reminder to all- monitor your guages/air. I hope the diver recovers and their family has good support.

Re: Dramatic Change at the Richmond Beach Saltwater Park
As NOT completely acute to the beaches conditions annually: I grew up going to Richmond beach years on end. I recall years where there was little eel grass and others where it was thick and coated the beach with each wave, tangling around my feet along with the broad coverage of seaweed, brown kelp ...

He's listed it on NWDC as well. Figured I would share again. He has 3 for sale, one I recall was a laminate.

Re: Drysuit, Heavy Duty, Men's Large $200
Holy Cow. If it's in the condition you represent that's a really good deal to the right person. nearly unbeatable. Those are rugged suits. I will attest to 60south's claim on condition for gear. Recently got a BCD from him in excellent shape. I'm a little jealous this suit isn't just a wee bit tall...

May your recovery be complete. Thank you for sharing this information. Question: Did they narrow down a source of the fungus/the type of fungus? All the best to ya during your surface interval.

johndo88- email sent. Thank you! I am honestly surprised to see the data get up in the mid 50's; I knew it got into the 50's but wasn't expecting 55/56. WARNING- I geek out below on data for a second. Read if you wanna geek out a bit. Since this is similar depth records across the whole da...

Re: Water Temperatures Past 45 Months
That's a pretty solid seasonal plot. Nice work. How does it compare to historical data? Presuming this is aggregate data (pooled 4 yr data), how does it trend as a 4 yr plot? Undulations fairly similar? were you seeing fairly similar highs/lows over the time? (sorry to get data nerd...) If I teach a...

Re: Bottles on Beach
May I recommend a sign? though I have not seen one recently (as a kid I have), I imagine there are other non-divers that may walk off with it thinking it lost. Did you have this happen!? Something like, "This SCUBA tank is not lost, Please do not move it for my safety. Thank you. -Your name&quo...

Hi Peter. Welcome to greater Sea-town. I'm curious- temporary stay (2-3yrs) = Grad School? Diving here is super. There was a post by Bandito Charters on the board a day or so ago to dive in the Tacoma area. I hear good things about them. (not affiliated nor used their services)
cheers!

Thanks YellowEye and Fmerkel. Thanks for the recipe for "Ear beer". I've seen it on the board a few times and hadn't encountered the ingredients. I'll have to give it a try. (Wife may not be a fan unless it is a spray, not fill ear canal) When I was a comp. swimmer we did something similar...

Thanks ScubaJess and fmerkel! I think a combination method may be the trick. Gunna have to drop some $$ and give things a try I guess. I'll update once she's trialed. ScubaJess- bummer on the ear infections. Glad you found a solution that helps you keep in the water ad libitum. (FYI- I'm a scientist...

IST Ear cover mask- Water in ear help.
Hello all- I am wedded to a non-diver who is averse to having water in her ears. She has indicated interest in diving IF there were a way to minimize/ eliminate water in the ear. She enjoys snorkeling but mostly stays at the surface because of the 'water in ear' feeling. I'm a fish. She's tried vari...
