Re: Drysuit Rental
8 Diving in Des Moines rents Santi E-Motion drysuits. Not sure if they have a special for longer term rentals or not.

Re: Seattle dry suit diver looking for buddy/ independent instructor
Hi Kelly, welcome to the board! I'm not sure where in the area you are located, but if you are more towards the south end of Seattle, I can recommend Clay Farrer as an instructor. He helped my daughter get more comfortable drysuit diving after she got her initial certification and is an amazing inst...

If no one else is going to Redondo, I think 8 Diving is doing a shop dive tomorrow (Thursday) night at Cove 2 that @jmartel may be able to join. Call the shop at 206-429-3480.

Undergarment -- Fourth Element Xerotherm Arctic Package, Men's XL -- **SOLD**
I have an extra undergarment that came with the used drysuit I bought earlier this year. It is a Fourth Element Xerotherm Arctic package with top, pants and socks. It appears to be unused -- the pants still have the tag on. All of the pieces are size XL. It retails at Dive Right In Scuba for $369.90...

Lost Light at Edmonds Underwater Park
@kneedeep and I were diving at Edmonds this afternoon and at some point out past the third buoy on Jetty Way my light came untied from its boltsnap. It is a BigBlue TL3500P with a metal Goodman handle. If you find it I would highly appreciate its return (especially since it actually belongs to my wi...

Re: Howe Sound in early September
Well, all my planning was for nought since it looks like we're now going to be in Monterrey, CA that weekend. Thanks for all the planning advice, though. I'm sure I'll make use of it at some point. Looks like we'll be getting some diving in on Monterrey Bay, though.

Re: Hey everyone!
Hey Peter, Welcome to Seattle. The water right now is probably pretty close to what you are used to (about 55° Fahrenheit when I dove on Sunday), but it will cool off during the winter to the low to mid 40s. Winter is some of the best diving here, though, since the visibility opens up quite a bit, s...

Re: Viz Reports Thread
Hit the afternoon high tide at Redondo today and visibility was an amazing 20-30 feet from about 25-70 feet deep. It actually was a little worse from 70-90 depth, but still a solid 10-15 feet

Subsurface dive log software - Dive Site Sharing
Hi, For those of you that use Subsurface (http://www.subsurface-divelog.org) to log your dives, you may have noticed that version 4.9.1 was just released. One of the new features that I helped add to the 4.9 version is the ability to import and export dive sites from the program as XML files so you ...

Re: Howe Sound in early September
It turns out that the Sea Dragon is reserved for the GUE Nanaimo Wreck Fest the weekend we were going to head up, so we're looking at other options now. We'll either pick another weekend or dive with Bandito Dive Charters in the San Juans that weekend. Or maybe try to make it to Vancouver Island if ...

I might be able to make Saturday or Sunday morning for an early dive at Alki. I'll keep an eye here to see what firms up.

Thanks for the info, everyone. I think we are going to stick with Vancouver this time since my wife doesn't get off work until late Friday and we will need to be back Sunday night. Diving on Vancouver Island is definitely on my list of things to do, though. I'll look at the weekend after Labor Day f...

Howe Sound in early September
We're thinking about heading up to the Vancouver area in early September (either Labor Day weekend or the following weekend) and I was wondering how the diving conditions in Howe Sound are usually around that time of year? Is the visibility normally starting to improve yet? I was thinking about one ...

@kneedeep and I dove Redondo this afternoon and visibility was horrible down to 20 ft then just a little better down to 60 ft. Below 60 ft there was a solid 5-7 feet of visibility.
