Edmonds Vis

I did work dives out there Sat and Sunday. The vis was amazing. I could hang at the mid point of the Triumph and clearly see both ends. What a radical change from the July Fourth Weekend. The work dives there on Sat/Sun and Tuesday featured vis of about 3 feet.. The other really strange thing Saturd...

Hey! If they keep that up, we might have a great new drift dive site!!! If nothing else, we could collect stuff - it'd be like Christmas!!! How deep is it below the narrows anyway? I'm totally ignorant - is it really deep, closed-circuit only, or what? There's already something really cool down the...

Edmonds Underwater Park I did the usual Saturday morning work dive with Bruce this morning. He and I went out and moved three footers out at the Enhancement - dug them out of the much and put them on other features so they are now usable ling cod habitat. Dave Rockwell joined us to move concrete blo...

Yes there is a pile of ten reef balls in the park. They are on Erratic Way near the 17 piles of boulders we have placed there in the last couple of years. The name for the boulder piles on the current map is "The Erratics". I would certainly encourage clubs to take on projects outside of E...

Where does the group get authorization to put new stuff into the water - the ecological licenses etc. Is Edmonds already considered "ok" to put stuff in (I mean real stuff that furthers the park by an authorized group) so the responsible group can do it? What if there was a group of diver...

JDR, can you tell us more about what the volunteer work involves? Is it identifying fish, picking up waste, laying steel cable? This year the projects I know of are: >Hauled a hundred or more cinder blocks out into the park to continue laying the "Erratic Way" trail out to the Boundary. >...

Volunteer Divers needed for the underwater park

The EUP is always looking for volunteers. Come join us and Dive! I’m back in town and I’ll be volunteering at the Edmonds Underwater Park this weekend. It’s easy, meet us at the Edmonds UW Sports store at 9 AM, Saturday and Sunday. If no one is at the store on Sunday, then check at the park. Bruce H...

Re: New shark discovered in US waters

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/5065510.stm I wonder how many more species are out there waiting to be found! :book: Let's go divin'! :supz: And now for the question the rest of the world wants answered: "How do the fins taste?" It's a sad commentary on the world, but since it's...

Yo JDR, nice to meet you (so to speak) \:D/ I share your passion for capturing underwater imagery, which reminds me, did y'all know that we have groups here on the board? One of them is Photographers ! So, what is this park you speak of, is it underwater by chance? If so, do you stock it with evil ...

Yes, I'm here. Now you can't escape all those requests to get off your duff and get involved! HAHAHAHA!

Seriously though, UW photography is my main obsession when I'm not working on the park... Now if I could just find a way to combine the two I would be happy.
