Re: How do you clip off gear inside your thigh pockets?
I too use a loop of shock cord, but it doesn't "span" the pocket. The loop is pushed through one of the gromets, with a knot on the outside. Like Matt says, way easier to just pull everything out to find what you need. I recall seeing a nice discussion of this on a board somewhere...DiveMa...

Cove 2 rinse shower
With ski area's opening and temperatures going down at night (I heard 35 for tonight), I got to wondering... Is the rinse shower still turned on, or do I need to bring my own water?

Re: Monday Mukilteo Madness 11/9
OK - so after everyone left for the DK, and I was finishing up, a couple of police cruisers came up. Police were searching all over the parking area and entry to the beach. I figure they were just trying to find the crack dealers...you know, the ones that get poor, innocent young divers hooked on ca...

Re: New to diving and LOVING it so far!
There is a great group of divers that meets every Monday evening at Muk. When you have a few dives on you and have a dive light, feel free to join us for some wonderful night dives. There are some very experienced divers in this group that you can pair up with.

Good news! Barb said I could use her light, as long as promised to buy her a new one if I screwed it up.... what could happen, right? Gear is packed and rig is set-up. As long as work doesn't pull something on me on my first day back, I'll be there for the second dive.

I am a big fan of geezer gas and use it pretty much exclusively now. After spending all these big bucks on equipment, I figure, why be cheap on the air I breath. Also, I wonder if using ratio deco may be something that you would want to look into? :uh: I have been using it now for about a year and d...

Les Davis - current sensitivity?
It jsut so happens that I will be down in Tacoma tomorrow morning, with a dive buddy, so it is a great opportunity to dive some southern sites that I don't get to very often. Unfortunetly, the tides don't look great. I know Redondo is fairly current insensitive, but what about Les Davis? I...

Re: 9/19/09 Cove 2
Great video Jake!!! I've wanted to do the cove 2 to cove 3 dive for a while, and we had a great day for it. Viz was pretty darn decent and it was nice to get away from the "crowds" over in cove 2.

If anyone else sees a pair of HP100's, I'm looking too. Also looking for a set of DS4's for doubles. Now, I just need to explain to my boss, why I need to run to my computer every 5 minutes (checking for Craigs List updates)....

Actually, my mother is 3 dives away from her 200th dive - it's just that she's done them all down in the FL Keys. I'm hoping the weather will clear and warm a little bit (she's 73 and in a wet suit) so that we can celebrate her 200th up here. :highfive: I was hoping to take her to Cove 2 this mornin...

It's just the a brightstar bulb, if you can get the model number of the bulb it shouldn't be hard to track one down. Mattleycrue's link isn't a bad price though. Just curious, does anyone know what some of the other applications for this bulb are?? ...not that there's anything better to do than div...

Re: Triathlon wetsuit vs dive suit
Speedy Reedy is a great shop. REI also sells a basic tri wet-suit.
Personally, I do 2-3 tri's a year, and I just pull out my 3 mm tropic wet suit for it. I would agree that sleevless would be better, but it's gotten me through for now.
