And, for the record, I've got 199 dives at Redondo. :smt038 -Valerie :salute: So, do you want to get in dive #200 at Redondo tonight? Seriously, I called Salty's at Redondo this afternoon and they have closed the restaurant for this afternoon and evening due to the bad road conditions. SO, I guess ...

check this map out. Chris did a great job and this is the map I recommend to people diving Redondo. http://www.pnwscuba.com/sitemaps/redondomap3.jpg I agree, that map is great. I have reformatted it, so it prints better, and also divided it up into two different profiles. There are some additional ...

Dancing works
Yeah! All that snow dancing worked. No school for me. Now I just have to figure out how to get to some water so I can go diving. Maybe after lunch time the roads will clear up enough for me to get out there. Tim ps. Now I will be complaining in May when I have to make-up this snow day and lose a 3 d...

You shouldn't have any problems. The water temp hasn't changed. I wouldn't use it until you are underwater however.
That is what I was worried about, was on the surface. I have heard not to even turn on the air until you have the reg in the water.
Come on snow.....

Snow diving?
Keep doing the snow dances. My district is only 2 hours late as of 10:00 PM on Monday night. I am hoping for more snow and a no school day. If so, I will get to do my first dives in the snow. Ok, so I won't actually be diving IN the snow unless I slip and fall, how embarrassing), but walking through...

Since at the moment, I don't have anyone "special" in my life, hint, hint, hint I will appeal to the masses to take care of me. Things that I would love to get: 1. I registered for just about every critter ID book that I don't already have. You can find the list at amazon.com, check out th...

It seems I remember being told if you had to barf underwater, to just do it through your regulator. That way you don't suck in a bunch of water after you blow. however, I've never done it, so don't know if that's right or not. Nick That was the other technique described to me. Problem is that chunk...

so how do you puke underwater? and does it chum up any 6 gills :vom: The way I did it was to take the reg out of my mouth, hold it near the corner of my mouth and press the purge (no pun intended) button to get a constant flow of air in the mouth region. Seemed to work, I got what I needed out and ...

Thanks for the video link. He sure did sneeze, but it also looks like he is on a CCR. Not sure if that makes a difference or not. I don't suffer from allergies, all I can think of is that I had a bit of water in my mask, felt like it was tickling my nose. My problem is that I usually sneeze in three...

Sneezing at 64 feet
Ok, so, I had a situation this morning while diving at Redondo. I got this sudden urge to have to sneeze while I was at about 64 feet and about 30 minutes into my dive. I knew that it wouldn't probably be pleasant, so, I held back the urge. As I was processing the potential consequences of an underw...

Back in VA, the LDC I used to frequent had their own 15 foot deep heated pool in the back of the shop, and if the shop was open, you could dive FOC! - on top of that, they would give you FREE AIR - just show up with your C card [sign a waiver], gear, grab a tank, and go. ... Just had to stay clear ...
