Re: For Those About To Swim...

"Hello, IT department. Have you tried turning it off and back on again? Is it plugged in?" I'll bet you can't go the whole day without saying "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" Yeah, but it's usually, "Try logging out of eWatson, then back in. That didn't work? T...

Re: drysuit gloves: opinions anyone?

These are the DC rings I use: http://www.divingconcepts.com/link1.htm And here is the installation instructions for keeping the wrist seal intact. I really should have looked at this before I installed the rings, it would have made life so much easier! http://www.divingconcepts.com/link5.htm #-o The...

Re: drysuit gloves: opinions anyone?

I have the DC rings with the wrist seals intact, and use Deep See neo gloves. Good mobility and they're nice and warm. In the summertime I've forgotten to wear liners and my hands were just fine!

Re: Club dive! Club dive! Club dive! July 9th at Redondo!

I will most likely be there, too, since I'm now back in action. I have gear I can bring. Long hose/bungied backup reg setup, jet fins, steel tanks in varying sizes (HP120, HP119, HP100), possibly more-all my spares are buried in storage, but I'm willing to dig if there's something specific someone's...

Re: Shipwreck Champagne sold at auction

While I've definitely (and gladly!) paid more than $30 for a bottle of champagne, $43K (I think it was 35,000 euros) is a bit out of my price range.

I bet it was freaking great, though!

Halcyon 2-window dive mask

I love my Halcyon mask and want another, but online searches are not revealing much. Are they still manufactured? Does anyone locally carry them?

Barring that, I'd hate to have to go through the search process again...

Re: my latest passion ... sidemount diving

When learning to dive with double cylinders, would there be any benefit to starting with manifolded doubles and then moving to sidemount, or could you just start with sidemount?

Thanks for the input, everyone. The job I lost was game designer/lead writer for a big-budget video game--the project was canceled and we all got laid off. (I think it had something to do with the project dragging out for 6 years and never delivering anything? Nah, couldn't be...) Anyway, if you kn...

A friend of mine swears by KY. They got some interesting looks from the employees, apparently. [/brief detour] I use Seal Saver, ...
