Well, I'm actively working now to lose a good portion of my bioprene, so wetsuits in the Sound will definitely be out for me.

Re: How many dive with a wetsuit in the PNW?

On the topic at hand: I did OW and AOW in quick succession in a wetsuit, and did maybe 10 more dives before I dove in the first sub-50 degree day of the year. I immediately stopped diving until I was able to afford a drysuit. If you've found a wetsuit solution that works for you in February, then yo...

You can't pee in a drysuit. Just sayin.... Clearly you haven't met http://www.she-p-na.com Edit: I just realized that my avatar picture makes me appear to be a spokesman for or endorser of She-P. Re: Some thoughts

Based on the divers that I know have taken CO2 hits, I often wonder about how many of the divers who are selling their dive gear to "spend time with their family" have really just had a very bad dive. The last 2 dives I did below about 50 feet, I got hit pretty bad. I'm "spending mor...

Re: Thanks Scott Sax

Aw shucks, guys, thanks! It was a fun show last night - I got to play with Kaci Aitchison from Q13 Fox, Roger Fisher from Heart, Lee Oskar from War, and of course the Impalers, who come from a whole host of legendary bands. MZ, we ended up not doing the USO thing, sadly. Maybe next year we can head ...

It went well, in spite of having very little monitors when we played. You can listen to it at bobrivers.com in the podcasts section. Hour 4 from 9/26.

Re: Birthday gift for my 21 year old son

This thread makes me so happy.... I have a few firearms, all of them were gifts. My 7mm Mag hunting rifle and Glock 23 were from my dad-the rifle for Christmas, and the Glock for my 30th. I'll soon have a Ruger Vaquero that was a 40th birthday gift from my girlfriend and my brother. And I agree-it's...

+ whatever on the Veo. Did 80-100 dives in all kinds of water temps and never had a problem with it. It's Hannah's computer now. I picked up a used Nitek Duo for around $200 that's dead simple, too.

Original Motorola Droid/Verizon. Loved it, but it's now out of date and slow. Shopping other Android phones (and the iPhone) sometime soon at Verizon. I'm thinking 4G if I can find something that has decent battery life.

Re: Well, no diving for me.

Oh don't get me started on the saxes. All three of mine (alto, soprano and an ancient broken tenor I plan on restoring to it's former cheapness) sit sadly and alone in their cases. Since the injury last year, I haven't been able to hold them up long enough to play them, and they are not my best sti...

I was also able to play my black stick with holes (clarinet) at my first band practice (Skagit Community Band- check us out in the middle of October with a Brass Choir!) of the concert season last night with little discomfort. Congrats on being able to play. It's always the first thing I've asked a...

Re: Wednesday EUP dive

I had a blast, although I'm sorry my buddy was late and I didn't get to dive with the group! Viz was terrible, the current kicked up toward the end of our dive, and my buddy had an assortment of gear issues, but it was my first time diving in a while where I felt like I was actually comfortable in t...
