Re: Regulator Thoughts?

On the snow tires you don't want to skimp, I need to sell as many as I can. Difference is that snow tires wear out.

Steel 100, but I don't want it filled to only 3000#. I want the air left over afterwards.

Re: brightness of handheld light for the sound

I have come up from a night dive in Coz with our Dris 1000's and other people were complaining that they might as well not have brought their lights.

Re: Drysuit: Extra layer of clothes, how much extra lead?

I love the warm feeling of being able to drop some air from my BCD and add some to my drysuit. You have to carry enough lead to do that.

Re: entry level gear

I'm with fmerkel on the drysuit and aluminum tanks. If you can't stay warm you won't dive. AL80's are for warm water divers. I did my certification dives 30 years ago using a back inflate BCD. Didn't like it then and still use standard BCD's. Still like my gauges all in one console. Rent, borrow and...

Re: Rebreathers and other gear

I'd just take a little discount and get the hydro's done here or in Mexico where I plan to take these someday. I'm located in Oroville, WA Where are you at? I'll try to get them paid an picked up.

Thanks,

Brian

Hi, Are the AL80's post 1990 and in hydro? If so I'd take them but we may have to go over logistics.

Re: Waterproof Drysuits for Puget Sound Diving?

In outfitting 3 of us I bought 5 used drysuits. One we have not used. One my wife quit using when we found one she liked better. We have since used her first one as a loaner, and I could sell it but don't want to. Ended up with one new zipper and put Si-Tech seals on 3 suits. For about $3000 we have...

Seattle to Cancun airfares

Somebody on Scubaboard posted about airfares from Seattle to Cancun around $270 in December, January and March. We bought ours so now you can. $539 on United for the two of us.

Re: Is steel really that big of a dfference for weight?

You need to do a weight check with a near empty tank. You will need 6 or 7 lb more when empty. There is about 5 or 6 lb difference between an AL80 and a 3442 steel.

How is this for completing a deal, long term? We got this done on a dark back street. Probably looked like a drug deal going down. Thanks Linedog.

Go to a dive shop and find a mask that fits. If they don't fit, go to another dive shop till you find one. That said I still like purge valves after more than 30 years.

Re: New from Spokane Buddy needed

Hi Wade.
We also live in Eastern Washington. I get tired of diving lakes pretty fast. We have found Hoodsport to be a great place because we can plan dive vacations based on when we can go without thinking about tides.
