Re: Octopus and Soap
I've been pondering this all day long, and to say that I'm a little irritated would be a major understatement. I have loads to say about this for so many reasons, but I'll just touch on one point.... ....I wonder if they realize that what they are doing is equivalent to torturing a puppy by cutting ...

Your report makes me want to give this site a try. Is it current sensitive? If so, is it best on a SBE since it's so shallow or is a SBF also do-able? What current station? Any correction?
Thanks!

Re: More Photog Q's
Costco prints are nothing to kick at, and quite reasonably priced. They seem to be better quality than some of your other typical big box print-em-quick retailers. Yes, they are a bargain. BUT, unless your camera is purposely set at the correct ratio (which of course I can't remember right now what...

Re: Can anyone help this guy?
OK, shame on me for temporarily thinking the worst of the person who found the reel. In today's world, it's kinda hard not to jump to the worst conclusion sometimes. I apologize. Thank you Brian for doing the right thing and returning it once you found out the situation! Congrats Blane on getting yo...

Re: Can anyone help this guy?
I applaud everyone's effort...thank you so much. Blane, I am so sorry that this didn't work out as we had all hoped.
For the person who took the reel, SHAME ON YOU! You disgust me.
I'll stop there.

Re: Can anyone help this guy?
I can't wait to hear how it goes! When I started this thread less than a week ago, I never imagined the saga that would unfold. Thanks to the "team"...regardless of the outcome. We definitely can't say that we didn't try!

Can anyone help this guy?
Hey everyone, I saw this on northwestdiver.com, and I just couldn't help but feel badly for this poor guy. Can anyone help him out????? Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?!? My name is Blane Harden, I was told this web-site would be a good place to maybe post a message to divers that dive at seacrest. A friend o...

Re: Winged Sea Slug
Well, when I found clusters of them next to what I believe are their eggs, I realized how limited my horizons are - there were hundreds of them! The eggs are the giveaway, so keep a lookout ! :) OH MY OH MY OH MY! Jan, you just answered a question from a dive I did about 5 years ago at KVI. A few o...

I have LOTS of snow in Snoqualmie Ridge! Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, keep me posted! I work in the schools in Snoqualmie but live in Auburn/Fed Way. It can be a completely different world out there compared to home. I am so happy that I have the day off (schools are closed). And, I won't lie--I'd take anoth...

how deep were you? About 50 ft, straight out from the house with the antlers, on a anchor block, next to a pile of squid eggs. The squid eggs actually drew me over there. I saw the PSL out of the corner of my eye and just couldn't believe it. My buddies had no idea how rare of a find it was (and wh...

The first 5 minutes of my dive today at 3-Tree were the best of the whole dive!!! http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2010/2223972061_59f51afcc9.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2232/2223971917_daeeaf55ae.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2352/2224762642_8db08f2532.jpg I could've stay in the same spot...

Make sure if you go somewhere new for your #100, take folks with you who know the site well. For my 100th dive, I went with a group to Lobster Shop Wall. They had never been there, but were sure they knew how to locate the wall. They didn't. We spent the whole dive over sand...nothing but sand. Pret...

This is a great website for identifying and dating. LOADS of info, but it is a bit cumbersome to sift through. Good luck--can't wait to see the pic of it.
