Re: Transpac with ss backplate?
Thanks for the replies. I'm having a hard time imagining how it would work -- unless you just got rid of the lumbar padding. You are suggesting a way to attach it to the outside (the back) of the TransPac's soft plate so it's between the soft plate and the wing? That would make sense.

Re: Canon G10 housing?
Herb -- Hm. I certainly do rinse, but not to that extent.
Thanks to you both for the tips. After diving, I do use a towel while pushing the buttons to get all the water out.
Dusty -- I'll take a look and see if I still have one of my old ones...

Re: Canon G10 housing?
I am on my third WP-DC28. I go through about one a year because the buttons get to sticking so badly. Unfortunately, I think I just threw away my last one about 2 weeks ago or you could have used it for parts. I can look in the basement for the other older one if you'd be interested in parts. I have...

Bare Tech dry hood - Medium - for sale
This hood is too big for me (I ended up buying a Small). Retail is $50, you can get it online for $35. I'm asking $25. Here's some info: BARE Tech Dry Hood Features •7mm neoprene with 5mm twin skin face seal for effective mask sealing. •Vented to allow trapped air escape. •Radar and light reflective...

Re: Advice on a good 7mm for a short person?
Thanks for the offer, Scubanewb. I have spent a fair bit of time in waters ranging in the upper 70s to 80. 80+ is just right for me for diving with a 3-4-5 full wetsuit, but even 78 and I'm getting cold. Three dives a day for a week at 70 or 72, and I fear I won't be a happy diver... That said, I ma...

Advice on a good 7mm for a short person?
I am going on a trip in warm/temperate waters (70 - 72ish degrees) SOON and need to get a 7mm wetsuit. I tried a Henderson H2, but it was ridiculously long. Any short women out there who can recommend a brand/suit for me? I'm about 5'2", 120lbs. Thanks!

Shoot, I can't make that time. I can actually dive Sunday morning also. Maybe that'd work better for folks.

Late notice -- Mukilteo in the Morning? (Friday)
I'm brand new on this forum, but far from a new diver. I'm wondering if anyone would be up for a dive tomorrow morning at the T-dock? I was there Sunday and saw the very large octo sitting out in the open at about 110'. My camera would not cooperate, so of course I'd like to go back and try again. I...
