Re: Viz Reports Thread
Cove 2 was a bit better this morning. Close to shore we had 10ft+ viz, further out it was closer to 5ft pretty much everywhere.

Re: Dry Glove Liners
I bought a pair of thinsulate glove liners from REI and they work amazingly. It was hard to find liners that were thinsulate and not some other material, but in the end I found a thick set and they were about $16. Warm, dexterous, love them.

Re: Wacky Wednesday West – 04/16/14
I'm interested. It would be my first WWW! :-) Two points: 1) I don't have a buddy available and would love one. I know Cove 2 well so just need someone for the company. :-) 2) Picked up a set of doubles (LP95s) last week and I don't have any experience with them. Would love to meet up with someone w...

Re: WTB: Worthington X7-119
My bad! good catch.
I meant the X8-119. I like the shorter length a little more than I value the slimmer profile.

WTB: Worthington X8-119
I'm in the market for a used X8-119. I would like one with a recent hydro (within 24 months) and a convertible din/yoke valve. PM me if you have one and are interested in parting with yours. I can meet in the Seattle area, eastside and westside, etc. Consider this resolved on Monday 3/23. Thanks!

New, high value & affordable handheld dive lights
It's that time of year again, and both Dive Right in Scuba (DRIS) and Dive Gear Express (DGX) have released new versions (or the case of DGX their first version) of a high power yet affordable handheld dive light. DRIS have replaced their old 1000 lumen model with the Impact light. 1000 Lumen: http:...

Re: Search and recovery challenge - $700 reward!
We went out and did two dives around the buoy and 80ft mark on Saturday am. Nothing. Did you factor in your drift in ascent as well as the potential camera drift in descent? because the camera likely dirfted far less going down than you did coming up. We searching in an area probably 400-700 yards i...

Re: Search and recovery challenge - $700 reward!
My buddy and I are headed out there on Saturday. Planning to do 2-3 dives at the site. At least one will be a search and recovery for your camera.
If we find anything we'll let you know. :-)

Selling Unused 30cf Pony
I bought a 30cf Worthington Pony from DiveGearExpress and realized when it arrived that I really wanted a 40. Sigh. So, my mistake is your gain! http://www.divegearexpress.com/gas/aluminum.shtml Brand new for 169, I'll sell it for 160 or trade it for a 40 in good condition. Must have convertible din...

Re: Pont bottle regulator recommendations
Specifically, it looks like this basically. http://www.torpedo.be/pics/2nd/ld_r190.jpg So it's an older R190-esque regulator. Not sure what it is exactly, not the modern R190 though... If that would be a fine primary for a pony, then sweet. I just need a good occy for my main setup to replace it.

I'm planning on getting an Alu 30, and I have my old Scubapro Mk2 1st stage that I plan to put on it. Anyone recommend a decent secondary for cold water diving? This seems pretty decent. http://www.diverightinscuba.com/catalog/regulatorsoctosregulators--d1switchbacklrhandsecondstage-p-3231.html Alte...

New diver in the NW!
Hi All, I just moved out to Seattle, will be getting into the diving scene here and hoping to get into weekday morning dives before work (6-8:30am). I'm an Open Water Instructor with PADI as well, and hoping to do some independent teaching form time to time, so if you're interested in taking a cours...
