I use a weight and trim and a bp/w, and I have never noticed this issue. Are your pockets too far forward? What is restricting your motion?

I'm a dual citizen(don't tell spatman), but I live at the bottom of washington. I'll let you know when I'm in the area though. Diving up there sure beats the Columbia River.

The 190 proof is 14.95 in oregon liquor stores for a 750 ml bottle. The online price is highway robbery.

Re: Off topic - Everclear (not the band)

I would check that with a call before I made a trip. If you click industrial alcohol (available by permit only) the 190 proof stuff comes up. I think that's why my cousin gets it online.

Re: Off topic - Everclear (not the band)

My cousin buys it online to make his special "apple pie". Good stuff. This place has it listed http://www.beerliquors.com/liquors/grain.htm no shipments to CA, but WA seems to be OK. I have purchased it in OR so maybe he could get some on his way through.

Hey Madoc
If you are willing to go north, I have had good experiences with: http://www.frogkickdiving.com/
More expensive, but this investment will get you more enjoyment than an equal purchase of dive gear, and they will probably help you avoid some ill advised purchases also.

Re: Birthday gift for my 21 year old son

I would do this ( and have done it). I think we are exceptions, or maybe exceptional. What a clear way of saying to your son that you think he has become a responsible adult. I think that it is a smaller portion of the population that enjoys the shooting sports, though, and that puts us in a minorit...

Re: Viz Reports Thread

Anyone know the answer to these: 1. Why is our water green but tropical water blue? What is it that is giving our water a green look that isn't present in the tropics? 2. Right now there are tons of some sort of particulates in the water about the size and shape of a pin. The head of the pin is usu...

Re: Any Commercial Fishermen here that dive?

I looked and could not find any laws governing the catch/consumption of grunt sculpins. Knowing the tendancy of us Oregon divers to be spear fisherman I am currently in the development stage of a tiny spear gun geared toward this innocent, yet potentially delicious species. I am thinking of a south...

Re: 9mm composite?

Just curious, why composite? I've had both, and I like them all, but I think there may be an accuracy advantage with an all steel pistol. The Sig Sauers are very nice, I had a beretta that I really liked, and shot well. I have a USP40 that I would be happy to let you give a go. I can't squeeze the a...

You have a good attitude, I am sure you will find the best life has to offer, given the injury to your body. You live in an area that truly has a lot of attractive options. I hope you recover most of your ability, and the changes to your life are minimal. Work hard at your recovery, you will be rewa...

This guy may get hurt, but I am glad if he can inform the public that sharks are not the villainous creatures depicted in Jaws, and in the hysteria that ensues after every (extremely rare) shark attack. Most of these attacks happen when a surfer or swimmer is mistaken for a natural food source. Perh...

Re: Think Sea Lions are cuddly critters? Think again.

I just looked at sea lion behavior on the interwebs, it says that the mating occurs 10 -14 days after the female gives birth, which occurs from may to mid july. That would put them in the middle of the breeding season, in which males "aggressively defend their territory". This may not be a...

Re: Think Sea Lions are cuddly critters? Think again.

Yikes. I'm glad she has no serious injury. I have heard this before regarding Steller Sea Lions. I do not recall hearing about Cal. Sea Lions behaving this way. I wonder if there is a difference in the two species behavior that makes the Northern variety more aggressive. I recently had an interactio...

Does the galvanizing crack during the test, or does the galvanizing affect the steel somehow. I'm not unhappy with the situation, other than being tank poor for a while, it's good to know the thing on your back can stand the pressure. Are these not tested before they are shipped? Re: Worthington hp 100 alloy problem

According to the info on the link above, they just send documentation of the test procedure, along with a photo that shows the serial no. and evidence that the tank has been rendered incapable of holding gas, and they will provide new tanks, shipping not included.
