Re: GoPro Settings
I was wondering about frame rate and light. I'm too cheap to invest in lights yet. But I did make a nice $5 PVC tray for it.

Re: Big Island Diving 2014
Wow, my wife and I were there at pretty much the same time as you. May have even been on the same plane back. Didn't get to dive as much as I'd have liked to but did a couple dives near Hilo with Nautilus Dive Shop (who I'd highly recommend) and the evening (at Pawaii) and manta dive in Kona with Bi...

GoPro Settings
I'm sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, but any recommendations for frame rate and resolution settings? I have the new Hero+ Black and I'm kinda doubting I need the highest and fastest for underwater footage and would like to maximize my memory. But then again, I know just about nothing about ...

Re: SeaQuest Wave BCD
Any decent offer will be accepted I reckon. Just don't want to see it sit around.

SeaQuest Wave BCD
http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/spo/4143073375.html This is size M/L, works great. No bells or whistles, but a solid BC. This was a rental that I bought off and was maintained by UnderWater Works. I used it maybe 15 times, with a good rinse after every dive. This is not the model with integrated ...

Weight Belt / Pinnacle Comfo
Great, super comfortable 6-pocket weight belt. Has a grippy rubber liner to help it not slide down. Paid $50 from Leisure Pro (link below to read more details). I've used it 5 or 6 times and got an integrated-weight BC, so... I guess I don't really need to keep it around. http://www.leisurepro.com/p...

Re: New Portland member
Thanks everybody.
I'm heading out to Hood Canal next Wednesday and doing a PacAdventure dive on next Saturday.
Trying to squeeze in as much as possible before crazy holiday times at work.
Looking forward to diving with some of you sometime.
Chad

Hey there. Not a new diver, but just getting re-obsessed the last year or so. About 30 PNW dives so far. Clear lake, Bainbridge Island, but mostly Hood Canal. Always looking for a chance to get out, especially available weekdays. Not interested in "harvesting" or killing stuff while we div...
