Re: Flagpole and Octos with Eggs
she did have a lot of eggs in there, guess it was worth that 20 minute deco for that picture. My pictures didn't turn out that great, just couldn't get enough light back in there.
Looks like a lot of the eggs were dead, wonder if it has something to do with the oxygen shortage?

Re: Discovery Bay boat launch
I haven't launched there for a few months, but there has never been a box or a sign and I have never paid so not sure how sure of how or if they are collecting. If there is no sign don't think they could really write you a ticket. Have no idea what the no motorized boats allowed is all about as that...

Dusty light
I have one of the 5 bulb dusty light and blew it out. I would like to buy one of the 3 bulb type and have emailed Rich but he must be out of town as I haven't gotten an answer.
Does anyone know where I can buy the 3 light modular without having to ship it in from China?

Day of the wolf eels
Went diving on the canal today (suprise suprise). Must be the starting of an O2 shortage in the water as the wolf eels were all laying out. Made for some nice pictures, but feel sorry for them as they are suffering. Also there are a few octopus out, sad to see one has already died and the eggs never...

Flagpole & elephant wall
Today's vis was pretty bad down to about 55', past that it opened up and was pretty nice...25-30'. Not many nudi's running around except for a herd of clowns. A few of the more common nudis, but not like It has been in the past. A few octopus sitting on their eggs. Quite a few wolf eels, one was out...

Re: Port Townsend area dives 3rd, 4th and 5th
It looks like you are a fairly new diver. I would listen to Dusty as he has been there more than anyone I know. We've read enough about recovering divers, don't need another one.
Being a good diver is knowing when to call the dive and either go to a different site or not dive at all.

So I decided to a wide angle lens today as we have been having a playful octopus for the last two weeks, but as you can see there are no octopus pictures as they were GONE!
I did find this 7-8' wolf eel cruising around out in the sand and he let me take a few pictures. Also a few other critters.

I thought you had to go to browning pass to see them, but all you have to do is walk down the beach at long beach, Wa. and wait for some to wash ashore on a boat from Japan.

Re: Flagpole Today (05 08 15)
found this little guy hiding with the nudis, he was camouflaged so well I don't even know how I spotted him. The little wolfie, that Keith was talking about followed me back up the rope. It left the rope to investigate my camera at about 15', swam over the camera, under my arm and around back of me....
