Re: We lost another Dive site

Frankly, I like the idea of... Buying the marina and put in an elevator the the water. Re-stare the boat rental and put in a dive shop. http://www.heraldnet.com/article/20110122/NEWS01/701229934 I bet you could help the owner out of bankruptcy if you could come up with $300,000 for the now deterior...

Re: newbie/oldie in Marysville

Welcome! there is a large contingent of divers up in you neck of the woods so you shouldn't have any problem finding willing buddies. ......like me! Shoot me a line sometime, maybe if the tides are good we can do some cool northender stuff and make all the southsounders envious! Yeah, 'cause THAT'S...

Re: Primary lights for new divers

When it comes to can lights, 10W HIDs aren't really enough around here to cut through the murk. On the other hand a 35W isn't really that much brighter than a 21W/24W. Unless you pick up one of the big ones for a deal or have a pile of cash burning a hole in your pocket, the 21W/24W lights are prob...

Re: Day 2 Saturday Ft Lauderdale

I meant to tell you Chris, on the first wreck dive that you didn't get to see (the Jim Torgensen wreck), I had no deco obligation on the way up. 32% Nitrox is the best thing sinced sliced bread... and at $.08 a cubic foot, which happens to be the same price for air... just cant see much of a reason...

Re: Primary lights for new divers

My girlfriend and I are going for our AOW training at the end of the month. We're new to diving but very in love with it. We need to buy our primary lights and would appreciate any input you all can give us. When I bought my first primary light, I got one of the UK C8 lights because that's what the...

I was in Bellingham last week. Ron is out of town until next Mon 01/16. Give him a call at 360 676 4177. I'm sure he'll be happy to answer any questions.
Thanks Rob.

actually, i prefer it so that the a-holes don't know who I am.
He learned that valuable lesson when he met Fishstiq and I for a dive at Titlow.

Re: Quality local dry-suit repair

With the ridiculous number of dives I've been throwing down lately, you KNOW turnaround time is a huge factor for me. I just don't know if I could handle any more time out of the water than was absolutely necessary! i know you're being sarcastic, but the suit superior screwed up would probably fit ...

The ocean and sky look pretty calm with excellent visibility and everything else looks awfully clear and pristine for such an event. All that volcanic ash from a local to the photographer volcanic event and so little sky obscuratiion. Is there any other evidence this event actrually occured and is ...

Re: Quality local dry-suit repair

I've had several done by Ron Akison at Adventures Down Under in Bellingham. If he's not on a dive trip and you call him in advance you can get a turn around time as little as a week in my experience. Price should be around or just under $300 for a zipper. I'm no expert but his work has always looke...

Scuba Diving is a relatively safe sport, unless you come across one of these Suckers!

Quality local dry-suit repair

I've had it. I've used a leaky dry suit as my excuse for long enough! Its time to get it fixed. I need to get back out there and enjoy my dives, but I really need to replace my zipper. Please tell me who you would recommend for quality local dry suit zipper replacement, how long you waited and how m...

Now that's good advice, unsolicited or not. If Bob hadn't met me for a dive at Mukilteo that day, Fishstiq would have certainly killed me by now.
