Re: Got called an idiot for selling my pony!

Because its still a free world, where people can make their own choices. Maybe someone wants to solo, or maybe someone doesn't have reliable buddies, or maybe they just want to have extra gas in a completely seperate, maybe donateable container. I know that it gave me a lot of peace of mind when I ...

Re: Got called an idiot for selling my pony!

Personally, I won't dive without one but no your not an idiot. It's your choice to make not theirs. Having said that though using the premis that you have never needed it is a bit flakey. I have never needed a safety belt but I always wear one. I have never needed a helmet when ridding but you woul...

This one went up in smoke and took the Nissan and sadly a MK15.5 with it! http://www.rebreatherpro.com/2008/08/sad-end-for-a-rebreather.html I stand corrected, but- that was a battery heavily modified by crazy-ass Australians. And if you don't believe they're crazy, you haven't looked at the d...

Re: Cuda Alternatives???

I love these threads. Sierra fury is probably the most versatile scooter out there. Size, adequate thrust, adequate burntime (Fury). SS makes a nice little scooter now that comes close to the sierra. Not intimate with the minnus but it seems solid. Things to consider: 1. Faster the scooter goes unde...

Re: led conversion for par 36 lights(Dacor 750)

The lantern isn't exactly optimal for an led frankensteining. The body is made from insulating materials, meaning heat sinking leds would be an issue. You may get away with a few xpg led in there with correct spacing and lower energy than the led can handle, would take some custom work. The led in t...

Re: Can You Damage An LED Emitter?

I read someone mention batteries with protection kicking in and showing zero volts, that's true, atleast in the ones I have built and my single cell does that too. Voltage of a fully charged li-ion cell is 4.2 volts (3.7 nominal). Your batteries or charger sound shot. If they went to Zero percent, i...

Not sure if we know each other well enough for that kind of banter. D I suppose, though I didn't peg you for the sensitive type. I wonder if they have a back attachment for the LCD. 0] I like the LCD. Just an idea, you could wrap the go pro with neoprene to offset the weight for ballast.
Changes weight with depth. (and gets scratched)

Thanks for the Golem link, I recall seeing that 500ft version posted somewhere a few weeks back now. Although the original hero is rated to 60m seems a bit aggressive to push that. Oh and they have glass too. I typically shoot in 1080 so the vignetting doesn't bother me for the other modes.

Re: To GoPro or not GoPro.... that is the question

The camera comes with the housing. The LCD backpack (or any backpack for that matter) will come with door extensions to the housing. For the lens fix, go look at the blurfix lens. http://www.aquaprohd.com/store#ecwid:category=1637166&mode=product&product=6592588 You have to install it yours...
