Re: Octopus Hole This Sat 1-24-09

Wow thats quite a drive and I will most likely sit this one out. I'm still working on my drysuit trimming and have single A/80s and 1 single 110. I dont want to hinder the dive with any n00b moves. I will be coming around shortly. I am coming out of Marysville so pretty far. Thanks for the info! Rick

Re: Any Gamers out there?

Funny thing about the first Halo game-a really good friend of mine was a voice actor in that game. When Master Chief comes upon the first group of surviving Marines one of them runs up and says, "Good to see you, sir!" That's my buddy Chris. He's since moved to California, so every now an...

Re: XXL Wet Suit?

I am 5' 10" and 230 and wear a 2xlarge. Fits perfect but as said it really depends on the brand. I saw one today on Craigs for 125.00 so they are out there. I would look daily in the snohomish, and greater Seattle area on Craigs and you will find one. 50.00 for a 2XLarge 7mm may be a little har...

Re: When Cabbies Go Bad .. EUP 1/ 14

Oh man there are two pretty common ones at EUP. The yellow bouy goes down to the big rope trail that leads you out to the boats. There is one about 2 feet long that sits right on the rope trail but didnt hit, just fronts up on ya like a tough guy. Always surprises me as I am following the rope. hehe...

Re: Keystone (The Report)

Since I'm going to keystone tomorrow, can you tell me where the octo was? Near the old warf? I have never seen an adult octo. Thanks! I was there last week and there were two. One at about 50' and one at 43'. The one at 43' is back in the rocks all the way on the bottom. Just stick your lights in a...

Re: The littlest octo

Certainly noted and thanks. I notice that they sell a macro lense for the thing, you think that may help? I know it would allow me to get a little closer. The strobe they sell retails for like 300+ so it will be some time before I mess with that. So much for trying to save money on getting into the ...

I'd like to add, all joking aside those are AWESOME pictures and turned out very well. I got me a reefmaster mini for xmas and I cannot for the life of me get a good pic yet. I have been an above water photographer for some time now, and man talk about a completely different flavor of imaging.
