Re: 100 FT Rock
Now that shore access is a no-no does anyone still dive here? Its not exactly convenient by boat and there are better boat sites between the nearest ramps and 100ft rock anyway. 100 ft rock might make a good 2nd dive on a day when tides suck and you wanna save your slack window for a more exposed d...

Re: lake diving
You could also try using a magnet, depending on what the ring is made out of. A powerful magnet swept close to the bottom might pull the ring up without silting the whole lake out. I hear the most powerful magnets come from Utah.

Re: A different kind of diver rescue . . .
So the two of us took off surface swimming to him (and Kirk can MOVE when he wants to, doubles and all) DAMNRIGHT!!! I've seen Kirk swimming against a current at EUP where not only was there a wake coming off him, but he was actually making headway! As hard as I swam, on that dive I just kept being...

Re: If you had to find a new job today... what would you do?
Okay, this one is off the wall, but I've always wanted to build human powered vehicles for the physically challenged who want to go fast. I look at wheelchairs (even racing chairs) and think "that wouldn't do." The other thing I'd love to so is build custom prosthetics. Truly custom. Like...

It's commendable that you stepped up and said something to the diver! In the passive aggressive Seattle environment, most people I think would have just given the stink eye and grumbled quietly to themselves. My hoods off to you! Speaking for myself and those I dive and hunt with, nothing is ever hu...

Mattley, as soon as I figure a way to fit the brace into my suit, I'm collecting on that offer! Think wetsuit with the brace on the outside. Add scooter and 1 fin, away you go! What about an air splint ? http://www.mhhe.com/hper/physed/athletictraining/illustrations/ch12/12-16b.jpg Most. Awkward. P...

Well, after a little :partyman: to kill any infection, I can safely say this effing sucks. Something as simple as getting off the couch for a water is now a 5 minute ordeal that leaves me short of breath and wincing. April has been an :angelblue: , and I appreciate it, but I feel completely useless....

Dry Until.....?
At work this morning, I was marveling at the snow on the rooftops and on the trucks this late in the year. Weird, to have an icy chill in the air and frost on the ground..... And that's when my dumb@$$ slipped on a frozen metal work deck and fell off my truck. My shin hit the edge first, and then I ...

By the way....if you put ME in the desert with a bar every mile I would eventually get drunk, lost, & probably pass out & not get anywhere. If we apply that theory, there is NO chance of invasion! See-we are safe after all :supz: MJ :partyman: No worries, a lot of it is hereditary, you know...

3 spg's, at least 2 1st stages, one tank, one valve. Tank and valve are the only common denominators to the problem, so one of them is the source of your grief. Theory #1 - during hydro, some moisture or dust or tumbler rock sand thingies got left in the tank. They work their way into the dip tube o...
