Re: Redondo Parking lot situation

From what I heard on the phone, the electronic access key is for 24/7 access to the marina parking lot (which doesn't really do us divers any good) and there are no current plans to install a similar system at Redondo. And if you read the letter that dlh kindly posted, it specifically states: "...

Re: Redondo Parking lot situation

That would be great if they could just decided on a time to shut the gate instead of a dusk. Especially, for people who don't have a flexible work schedule.

Re: Redondo Parking lot situation

Here's some additional details that may be helpful. As of this writing, the pass and transponder is $25.00 per quarter (you need to call each quarter to renew). The first quarter starts Oct. 1st. This will give you access to permit only street parking, the Redondo parking lot, and the marina with th...

What is this new parking pass you are referring to?
Planning on going, pending on how hard it's raining.

Yes, after PMing some people on this site. We've decided DP is probably not the dive for us right now. Maybe sometime in the future.

Re: Deception Pass

Thanks for the reply and good advice, as always! No one had replied yet, so I was beginning to think I had asked a silly question. It’s my husbands birthday on the 10th, so I’ve been trying to find a special dive to do. Thought perhaps Deception Pass, but sounds like that’s a no-go this time of year...

Deception Pass

I was thinking about perhaps doing a dive at or around Deception Pass September 9, 10 or 11. This would be our first time diving there, and I was wondering if you had any suggestions for first timers. We know it can be a challenging spot!

Good Sites for Low Tide?

I have heard the best time to dive is during high tide. With my working hours right now, I'm usually done around 3-3:30. I was just looking at tide-tables hoping to plan a few dives for the future, and it seems like low-tide usually occurs in the later afternoon. Are there any sites that are close t...

Re: New Transplant from the Midwest

Hi Eric! Thanks for all your help! Figuring out what tides are the best is still new to me... I talked to my dive buddy last night and we might end up going to Mukilteo, and save Keystone for a date when it will be really good. There also looked to be a brewery close that would be fun to stop at on ...
