Re: Cleaning Treasures found Underwater
I have always used CLR. Works on everything I have ever found underwater. You might test it on the bottom first.

Re: Cuff Dump
I added the small 1/2 dollar size wrist dump to my DUI when I bought it. It is just a one way valve and dumps air real fast. I have mixed feelings about it. I have thought of just blocking it off but stop because every so often need it. It's Pro's are. 1) Dumps air real fast, faster than my shoulder...

Club Dive carpool from Portland
It looks like Matt is coming down with a cold so he will not be able to ride up with me to the club dive. I have room for up to 2 more divers in my pickup. Does anyone want to ride up and split gas? (before the usual suspects pipe up, the gas that my truck runs on) Give me a call. I will be up till ...

I think I will bring my regulators, tanks, mask, fins, BCD, dry suit, undergarment, weights, booties and O2 Kit. Did I forget anything?

Re: Need a new dry suit - from compressed neoprene to ??
I would get a DUI CF200. IMO the best suit made. I have had a Viking (toughest suit around and patches with duct tape in a pinch but I froze in it) a 7mm neoprene Harvey's ( loved the neoprene but one POS of a suit) then I got smart and got the DUI. Almost 400 dives and is still like new. I have had...

Re: Uninsured
Hey Nailer, Health Insurance is the only line I do not do in my agency. That said, before I got married last year I had a personal insurance policy. The last time it renewed I went on line and got a ton of quotes from E insurance. They ended up saving me like $250 a month. Don't look down on having ...

Re: What size argon bottle?
What ever size you get, make sure it is a LP tank. Argon is filled from a LP bottle that is usually filled to 2200 to 2400 psi. If you get anything but a lp tank you will never get a full fill unless they boost. And most shops do not boost Argon. I have a lp 14 and get anywhere from 6 to 7 dives out...

Re: What kind of dive computer do you use? and why?
My "only" dive computer is a OLD Suunto Eon. You can get them dirt cheap on Ebay. Love it. Now if I can only adapt a sheet magnifying glass so I can read the numbers I would be all good again.
