Re: Deception Pass 4/13/2019

Great report and pics! I had hoped to make it out also but my normal buddy bailed and it snowed at Baker so I made a poor choice....  Hopefully see some of you guys at the end of the month for the next window!

Re: Sea Dragon spring fun

Thanks Jess. That would be lots of fun to all meet up there sometime. I want to do a weekend trip sometime combining that with some shore dives at Whytecliffe or Kelvin Grove, although day trips from Bellingham are easier than most of the shore dives we hit up :partydance: . Also, I didn't originall...

Thanks for sharing this on the board. I've seen your work on Scubaboard and IG and it is really great! Hopefully next year I will also be able to make it up there.

Sea Dragon spring fun

After a month of being dry (skis and life got in the way) and a bunch of no camera dives during the winter playing with new gear or new divers, I finally got things back to normal last weekend in Howe Sound with the Sea Dragon crew. We once again lucked out with only 6 divers on the boat and had ple...

There are so many amazing photos in this trip report I can't really pick out a favorite. Sounds like I have another place I need to convince my wife that we need to visit someday!

Re: Skyline Wall - St. Patrick's Day

Sounds like an fun adventure even with the goofy currents. That warbonnet in the zoanthids is awesome! Low exchange days at Skyline are weird. Kelly at Anacortes Diving told me that you want to look for exchanges at or over 1 knot to get the flow to switch. We usually get in the water about 45 min b...

Re: Another Kona Trip Report

Sounds like a great time! Thanks for sharing. Kona is a fantastic place to visit. I’m a little bummed I didn’t get to meet Crazy Frank though when I did the manta dive last year. We had a few more flying around so I spent the whole time looking up and waving my camera around taking out of focus pict...

For Sale: Scubapro Seawing fins

I have too many fins, so I'm selling a pair of yellow XL Scubapro Seawing Nova fins with the awesome bungee heel strap. These are a little over 3 years old but in very good condition since I'm ocd about keeping gear clean. They are great fins for all recreational diving in the cold or warm water, an...

Re: Viz Reports Thread

Keystone, Sunday 2/17. Hazy 15 ft shallower, decent 20 ft at the end of the jetty and the barnacle reefs. Even better were the pleasantly cooperative currents and all the nasty crabs  (Tiss the season for lithoid crabs lol)

So awesome! Kona diving is great. Love all the butterfly fish pics. ScubaJess, why did you have to bring up the avocadoes?! Now I'm sitting here at home drooling over year old memories and photos of all the avocadoes, bananas and mangoes that were bought and devoured from the farmers markets that I ...

KeyLine Pie, 1/20/19

Back in January I made a 2 tank trip out of the north sound's best of shore diving list. Dive 1 was at Keystone. The vis was mediocre but the diving was ok. Managed to get out around the end of the Jetty for the brief appearance of slack before the super blood wolf eclipse moon ended that idea. Stil...

Re: Viz Reports Thread

Sunday 1/20/19. Keystone Jetty in the morning was 10 to maybe a dirty 15ft. Skyline in the pm was a silty 5 to barely 10 ft at the end of the flood. Deeper and farther out in the channel it teased 15ft luckily. Currents at both sites were running a bit stronger than the predictions. I blame the bloo...

Re: Whidbey Island Critters

Is the parking area at Keystone man made? As we all know, mother nature usually doesn't take much pity on things that aren't supposed to be there! As long as the water keeps following the erosion back towards the road and they relocate the bathroom, I'm ok with it! More of the jetty underwater would...

NYE Skyline Crabfest

I was able to skip out of work early on Monday for our annual New Years Eve dive. This year the tides looked good so we headed to Anacortes for another splash at Skyline. Jan K showed up and I got to officially meet him which was cool! After some fiddling with malfunctioning gear (always seems to ha...

Happy Nudi New Years

Just thought I would share my nudi new years post from the social medias here because I only have a couple online friends who think that underwater slugs are cool. I hope that everyone ended the old or is starting the new year out with some good diving! We found some big king crabs and Jan K at Skyl...
