Re: END vs EAD
My understanding is that EAD is used for calculating nitrogen loading/deco whereas END has to do strictly with the narcotic properties of gasses (O2 or nitrogen)

Need some software advice
I know a bunch of you know alot about software so here goes. I need to find a program that will allow me to control which websites can be visited by the salesmen at my dealership. Free would be ideal - at least on a trial basis. Stupid Zynga.

Re: What Fins Do You Use & Why?
Turtle Fins by XS scuba. Mainly because they're adequately stiff and they were cheap used. Others I'd consider owning are Jet fins and the Hollis F1s. Whatever you get, do yourself a favor and get springstraps.

Feedback on HOG 58 lb Doubles Wing
Does anyone here have this wing? Is there anything you specifically do or don't like about it? They can be had for about 1/2 to 1/3rd of comperable wings so I'm tempted to pick one up. I like my 32lb HOG singles wing FWIW and the horeshoe design doesn't bother me.

Brian's got a whole army of trained monkeys diving all over the Puget Sound. Kinda like the wicked witch of the west but underwater.

What Lauri said. In my case it began happening more and more frequently, and ended up requiring new electronics. Hope all it takes for you is a new fuse. Where have you been all my life? I even made a trip over to the N. side a few weeks ago, and there were rumors of you, but no you! Well, what can...

I'm sitting at work right now wondering how to mount a backup light to the front of my speargun. All you had to do was ask..... Let me know if you really want to do something like this. I'd love too. Maybe it would be possible to have a remote switch that I can activate from near the trigger. I hav...

That's really cool guys. Scott, your side scan images look so good. Even though I have the same sonar unit my images look nothing like the first one you posted. I'm finding that it's difficult to get my 14 ft RIB to track stright enough to get a really good view. This is the kind of stuff that leave...

What P-diver said. Buy a wrist mount Suunto Sk-7compass and a brass and glass SPG. HOG makes some good reasonably priced ones. You can either get a bottom timer for tables like the Uwatec one or go for an inexpensive computer with bottom timer function like the alladin tec2g. If you want a console p...

I'm really sorry this happened Ron, and I'm glad both that you were there to fend it off, and that you weren't put in the position to have to use force to defend yourself and your property. Muggings, home invasions, and even random gang banger crimes are always something that happen to someone else ...

Re: Contact lenses and diving
I dive with disposable toric lenses and have no issues, even while opening my eyes during critical skills dives ( well I had lots of issues, just not with the lenses). The toric lenses (for astigmatism) are designed so they will automatically rotate into the correct position, so even if they get mov...

Re: Not that I'm buying a boat yet? Just a question.
I'm pretty sure accepting a little gas money does not make you an unlicensed dive charter. A waiver can't hurt but I doubt it'll protect you from gross negligence. Anything other than that is unlikely to result in a lawsuit anyway.Case in point: I was involved in a body recovery in a diving accident...

Re: Can lights
Holy Bat-Post Kees!
I only got about two thirds through it but It sounds like you nailed it. My recomendation would be a lightly (pardon the pun) used 21w HID from Salvo/Light Monkey or Halcyon.
I hear a lot of good things about Dusty's light, but haven't seen one in action yet.

Re: Super Newb Question, picking out a Westuit for a tall gu
Alot of people will probably give you the advice to skip the wetsuit and go straight to a drysuit. My advice would be that no matter what exposure protection you choose, make sure it fits you properly and comfortably or I guarantee that you'll be buying twice. Btw you can look up most of the manufac...
