That's okay. I was the OP, and I'm just looking for options around here. Waldport is nearly as far as Hood Canal, but I do spend a fair amount of time on the Oregon Coast, so I'll probably end up there one of these days.

Where are you located? I'd sorta' like to try these on, but I'm in Portland. Hmmm.

Re: Necanicum or Siletz?

I like to dive in Waldport. Its only about 20 min south of Newport and at low slack it gets to about 50' in the bowl. Lots of crabs, fish, and a herd of sealions that sun themselves on the north beach. The only real draw back to this site is humping all the gear down to the beach and back up after....

Too small for me, but I'm sure they won't go to waste at that price.

River Pirate told me he needs a pair of fins too (he wears a 14, so probably xxl). So, if yours are big and not badly cracked, we can probably help you out.

I wish I could go; already have fishing plans. Good luck, and please report water temp and vis if you don't mind. Thanks, Scott

Re: The ultimate private dive boat??

Do the Zukes come in counter-rotating prop? I don't remember for sure, but seems like when I was looking at them a few years ago (before the economy robbed me...) that they only came in standard rotation. Not a huge deal; it's just easier to take the torque out of the steering with one prop spinning...

Re: so how about a CLUB DIVE?

Dumb question alert:
Where is Redondo / Cove 2? I looked in my books (NW Shore Dives vol.2 & 151 Dives in Washington / BC), and I can't find it. Oops, I guess I'll look at the dive site listings here to see if it shows. Any info would be appreciated though. Thanks.

Spatty, you're 40!!! Really???? yes, ma'am. don't act it, though, do i? :mmmbeer: to quote of of my favorite rappers, E-40: "40's 40, and 40 don't act his age." I guess I can take some comfort in the fact that I'm slightly younger than you. I don't turn old (40) until June. I'm alre...

Offers? Someone must need a 94# wing to jack up their truck or something... (just kidding; these are actually supposed to be awesome for really deep cold water dives; just doesn't fit my "not quite ready for AOW" profiles).

I blew it yesterday. I went to look at some "pony bottles", which turned out not to be scuba tanks at all, and I missed out on a nice Apeks reg set that I wanted (TX 100's for $125). Bummer.

I wish I was short and skinny... A DUI drysuit and undergarment for $200 (says 5'9" 140# - think I can lose 3" and 100lbs?)

FS: OMS Doubles Wing

I've been struggling with this decision, but I think I want to sell my doubles wing and put the money toward a drysuit. It's an OMS 94# bungee wing (red, single bladder) in excellent condition (the guy I bought it from only dove it a couple of times before switching back to singles, and I've never u...

Re: FS: Doubles manifold, 8" bands, and maybe wing

Yeah, it all came with some LP95's (I wanted the tanks, ss backplate, and OMS IQ Pack harness, and I couldn't pass on the package price). As for the size of the wing; I figure now I won't need lift bags (kidding). Plus, if I get a flat tire while diving, I can use the wing to jack up my truck while ...
