Re: Accessory equipment question

Thanks gents, I appreciate the input. Last evening I played around a bit with the camera in close-up mode and then this morning after looking at the smug-mug files of olyvtx, I'm feeling like this camera might be just fine for most of my needs. Looking at the attached file (photoshop'd to just 25% o...

Accessory equipment question

I have the basic SeaLife 800 and would like some advice on accessories for this camera. I’ve been admiring the recent photo’s showing up of nudi’s and lumpies and am wondering what kind of flash/’s I need and are there other close-up attachments needed and available for my SeaLife for good close-ups...

Re: Who's your LDS and Why??

Couple of things: First I didn't carefully read the entire string so I may have missed a previous listing of my LDS; second, I realize that it's a long ways from the Sound where most of you guy's are at - but - Salem Scuba (obviously in Salem Oregon) has been great to me. Blake and Alan have a way o...

Re: Truly amazing Lumpies

H2oDoc, Having seen several of your videos now I'm becoming quite a fan - and this one is way cool! I'm also more than just a bit envious of you guy's living right there in the Puget Wonderland. I did my OW in Hood Canal (Sund Rock and Triton Cove) in November and was fortunate enough to see 2 GPO's...

BP&W: DR Transplate or HOG

Hi all, I’m asking for some continued tolerance with a newbie learning the ropes. You’ve all been true ladies and gentlemen and a wealth of information. THANK YOU! Another question please? A Diverite Transplate is a back plate and wing and so is the HOG harness set up? Is that right? So if they are ...

Re: Non-Diving DIY

Very nice indeed! I love oak, such a nice warm colored wood. Did you also make the chair in the background of the middle picture? It' looks like it's made of oak too and of similar style. Great job! My wood working is mostly centered around guitars. Here's a link to some of my projects. http://s571....

Re: Looking for a strobe ?

Any idea as to how compatible this would be with my SeaLife 800? The price difference between the intova and sealife flash goes a long ways to purchasing that new BCD I want.

New to SCUBA & NWDC

Hi all; My name is Ron from Salem, Oregon. Just did my open water November 7 & 8 so I'm brand new to this. BTW, the open water was at Hood canal and we dove Triton cove and Sund Rock, it was awesome! I've snorkeled for years but realized I won't get any younger and this scuba thing looked like t...
