Re: OMS manifold service.
Sure its not in the tank? You don't actually need the dip tube(s). Decades ago when people had inches of water sloshing around in their tanks, dip tubes had a purpose; nowadays they don't do anything. You take off the second one so both sides "match" or just leave the intact one on there ...

Re: OMS manifold service.
A new issue has come up. I forgot to mention that one of the valves of this manifold was missing the dip tube. Is there any chance anyone has one lying around they would sell?

Re: OMS manifold service.
Thanks for the encouragment. I was never daunted by the actual task of removing, cleaning and installing new parts but didn't think I would be able to buy the parts without some form of recognized training. This is good news!

Re: OMS manifold service.
Thank you everyone for the information on parts but I'm not trained yet to do the rebuild myself. I would need to send it to someone. Any ideas on that?

Your map makes it look shorter than it really is. Isn't it just over a mile? [sarcasm]I want to go on record as one of the divers that didn't cancel on this dive last time.[/sarcasm] Now that I've said that I'm almost certain I will be working durring this one and can't bail on work.

Re: Edmonds on Saturday
What is your experience level? Edmonds requires careful gas planning, great skill at reading tide tables/current charts, and strong navigational ability. You could easily run out of gas, get ground up by a ferry, or be swept out to sea unless you really know what you're doing. I'd join, but want to...

Oh man, I had no idea Edmonds was that demanding! I guess I should stick to visiting "the man" or the Possession Point fingers. I have heard a rumor that the Maker Buoys are diving the ppf on Sunday........

Re: Diving for food question
I have had very good luck in the past at the Mukilteo oil dock for crab but it does vary. I have never crabbed in the late season so I couldn't comment on the population this time of year. I am one of those people that loves sea urchin and get hungry every time I see a big red urchin while diving. G...

Re: I got bent (NHZ)
I was able to see both numbers on my EOB's. Lets say one flight in the chamber for instance. They would have billed me $8,200 walking in off the street and paying cash. But Premera Blue Cross got a discount and was only charged $5,900! Almost every charge related to this had some form of discount or...

Re: I got bent (NHZ)
After my personal insurance covered everything they were going to I sent a copy of all my EOB's and hospital bills to DAN and they sent me back a check for $1350. I was still out of pocket about $400 but I really am thankful for having DAN available for telephone medical consults and the insurance o...
