I receive notifications on my HTC One X phone, but not on my Nexus 7 tablet, oddly enough.

The tablet is running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and the phone runs 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Both are running the latest app version (2.0) and notifications are allowed.
