Re: Just want some opinions
My opinion: This forum should not be used to attack local businesses, be it a charter or shop, because someone doesn't like their business model.

You are not the first to get snotty service from one individual at one shop.
You may receive very different service at other shops owned by the same company and from other people at the same shop.

Re: Why Divers Panic
In 45 years of diving I've had three near panics, a solo out of air ascent, an emergency buddy breathing event compounded by an open BC inflator both in the early 70's and recently a flooded mask in very strong current. It may be influenced by age and memory but the more recent flooded mask situatio...

One Ling guarding eggs on Cathedrals has been biting fins. I think he is on the first or east block and is aggressive with divers on the top or west side.Disclaimer: You might get bumped by an angry cabezon or ling. You have been warned!

Re: Where are you diving this weekend?
Sorry for the misunderstanding and causing this thread to go off course. It's more about the muscle in your hood. I'm 5 ft 7, 170 lbs and was about 60 years old at the time. That's not quite Seal material. The navigation exercise was to touch each of the the 4, Rock-Omar-Hbarge-Vbarge-Rock. Staying ...

Re: Where are you diving this weekend?
They are fun to scooter but I don't know anyone swimming all three in 1 dive. Navigating via scooter is a bit iffy, esp the horizontal to vertical barge leg (of the triangle) which is the longest. At one time we had a line out there connecting all three wrecks, but I'm sure its long gone now. Is th...

Re: Bizarre encounters with Steller Sea Lion at Possession P
Amazing story and photos. You might be looking over your shoulder for a while. I've been diving Possession Fingers since the 70's and never saw a sea lion there. My experience with several Sea Lions at Tatoosh with repeated fly-by's and straight approaches seem more like curiosity compared to your g...

Viz 20 Ft at Blakely Rock's China Wall and Shilshole's Omar and the Rock Sunday 10/14
The marker buoy is missing again from China Wall. The barge buoy is still missing from Shilshole - that's a good thing.
