Thanks Doug. I couldn't remember where I saw it. Of course it was DSS, who else!?dsteding wrote:DSS makes a nice hydration bladder-send Tobin an email or call him, I bet he has some ideas on how to mount it to a singles rig:

I'll do it
I'd like to attend. Either day/Month/year works for me. The further out the better as it will be easier for me to commit financially (Oct 15). How long is the cert for? Is it every few years like CPR?

I never thought of that
I have been using "positive self talk" and Visulization for a few years now in a number of arenas and it never occurred to me to use it when diving. I am very glad you wrote this John . I can easily see how it applies to diving. Although some may view it as some mid eastern hocus pocus.......

Man, that's too bad. Why is it the only guys I hear of this happening to are in the military? I mean, I know guys that get divorced and stuff but I'm talking about the cold, mean spirited creative F U Im leaving type stuff? So here's a guy who is serving his country , trying to have a normal life an...

I don't exactly know how they work but I've seen Hydration bladders that you can strap to your tanks. The ones I saw were geared more for doubles, don't know how you could incorporate that to diving a single tank. My problem is the more water I drink.............the more I want to pee!

Cool!
Maybe someone can tell us when those eggs are expected to hatch?? Sounds like you had a good dive. I have a hard time identifying the different fish too. Whenever someone says " hey what do you see down there" I tell them I see fish. I've been looking up the different critters I see so tha...

Re: Thanks!
Hopefully after this weekend I will have had more than enough practice to have figured it out...... Oh was I right. I definately figured it out, and learned some things about which direction to turn the vent #-o . (FYI + = Bouyant/Closed not vent more!!) I never did understand Canadian........ I ma...

Search and Recovery
See Doug, theres value in what we learned. The next time someone needs you to dive for their lost whatever, you can charge them the price of a SK7. That's really a bummer about your compass. I hope someone finds it for you.

Thursdays
I would be up for the Thursday night club dives. Unfortunately This week is not good for me either. I was at the T-dock yesterday down to about 45fsw. We didn't see much but had a good dive anyway. Spent a lot of time at the pilings on the return swim. Can anyone tell me what the white egg pouches a...

Thanks!
Thanks for all the replies and advice. I am still trying to work the bugs out and Grateful Diver got to see it first hand last week. While attempting a safety stop I lost control and corked to the surface. GD came up and asked, "did you just add a bunch of air to your suit?" I hadn't but w...

Irreversible???
I would like to comment on this. I too saw the "Global Warming" show. Very interesting. What I got out of it was this.......Excessive CO2 emitted into the atmosphere causes temps to rise. Trees provide Oxygen and take in CO2. We provide CO2 and take in Oxygen. We cut down trees, less Oxy f...

Bouyancy control BC or DS?
So I just had to take my new DS out and get wet (for the first dive in a long time! \:D/ ) Everything went great except the next day I found out my dive buddy broke his finger before the dive. #-o Now, I have not had a DS class and only planned on going no deeper than 30 fsw. Max depth ended up bein...

I would have never figured it out either. That's still a pretty cool trick for those of us that are numerically challenged. It got one symbol wrong though but thats because my math sucks.

First OW
Lawgoddess, sounds like everything is going along just fine. I vaguely remember my first open water checkouts and they were a lot of fun, even though it was the dead middle of winter and very cold between dives. Just remember there is no difference between the skills you learned in the pool and doin...

Hi Everyone
Hey everyone, My name is Christopher (PEZ) I've been hanging around SB for a while trying to get back into the swing of diving when I found out about NWDC. A co-worker got me going again and I recently ordered a dry suit with plans to purchase everything I need to be self sufficient. I will be takin...
