Saw sunflower stars and a striped sun star at Point Hudson in Port Townsend this past weekend. They're starting to get larger than fist sized.

Re: WEEKDAY DIVE BUDDY NEEDED!!
I am usually up for a later night dive (after 7) during the week. I am also a photographer. Usually prefer to stay above 80' so I can do one nice long dive.

Junkpile 3/14
My plans to dive at Keystone are going to be foiled by inclement weather tomorrow. Junkpile should be sheltered for the worst of the wind. Anyone interested?

Spotted a couple dozen sunflower stars at Mukilteo Clay Wall (site off the Lighthouse Park). Again, fist-size or smaller.

Re: Sea star die-off
Saw around a dozen sunflower stars at Alki Pipeline yesterday. Fist-sized or smaller. All healthy. There was a pile of white residue that looked like the remains of a wasted star, however. http://derekcs.smugmug.com/Underwater/Seattle-Diving/Alki-Pipeline-20150131/i-PQsjGKF http://derekcs.smugmug.co...

Night Dive Week of 1/12-18
Looking for a buddy willing to go out to Cove 2 or Redondo for a night dive. If it is during the week, I would like to meet at 7-8 to avoid traffic headaches (and grab dinner first). If on the weekend, I could manage to do it earlier. Preference would be to do 1 tank (I'm on Steel 130s), but I do ha...

Night dive this week?
Looking to do a 1-tank dive sometime after the Seattle traffic dies down this week. Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Meet time around 7-8 PM. Tides look pretty favorable at Redondo on Thursday. Would also be up for something at Alki.

Saturday 6/7 Dive or Sunday 6/8?
My dive buddy for tomorrow cancelled. Anybody up for a dive somewhere between Mukilteo and Redondo tomorrow? Not particular about time of day. Can do up to 2 dives.
Could also do Sunday but would have to be before 2pm at the latest.

Not too late. Could probably get there by 10, definitely 10:30.
iqjump, I should be able to get my tanks refilled in time to do a dive on Sunday. What time would you be able to meet up Sunday?

Works for me. Only have 1 Steel 130 on hand at the moment. Could do one early morning dive, or 2 if we wait until later in the morning to meet up so I can pick up my other tank.

Anywhere between Mukilteo and Redondo works for me. Tides/currents are not terribly well-timed this weekend, but I'm willing to make the most of it.

Later Night Dive @ Cove 2 - Tues 1/28
Hey, I'm looking to start up some regular night dives at Cove 2 sometime in the new year. My goal is to eventually see (and photograph!) a sixgill shark. Knowing the rarity of that, though, it'll be nice just to get out for more night dives and maybe see (and photograph!) some GPOs out in the open. ...
