Let's hope you ex isn't like mine! In '85 we divorced and in '86 I was reassigned to Germany. In '87 my CO received a call from MPI that one of his soldiers was using a stolen idenity.......... My ex had decided to have me declared legally dead!!! Now that was fun!

Yea - I'm not looking to purchase till maybe mid September - but the more I look the more choices I have.

Now looking at the ScubaPro computers along with the Oceanic.

Olympic Sports also gives store credit for some of their larger purchases - plus they will let me try out the various pieces of equipment before buying.

I definately agree with mail order - ya may save a few bucks - but when ya need service quick - forget it!

Would need more info ... like ... - male or female? - size and weight? - do you plan to dive regularly in Puget Sound? - how often do you anticipate taking your gear on a warm-water vacation? -male -5'10' 190lbs -most of my diving will be in Puget Sound - however by brother is planning a few trips ...

I am looking for a wrist computer - my first one - and was considering the Suunto Vyper - with virtually no experience - how do these two compare?

My LDS recomended the Suunto Vyper and a SPG.

My son-in-law and I tried it the first time after maybe 1 to many beers #-o we wore most of the coke trying to put the top back on the bottle - it didn't explode..... but next time................ :prayer:

Almost back in the water again!

Greetings all! By 15 September I'll be back in the water again! I am signed up for the OW class @ Ft. Lewis beginning on the 4th. The last time I dove was with my uncle in the Chesapeake Bay - in '64! My uncle gave me and my brother a summer of great diving - it took me this long to get back into it!
