Re: Aeris vs. Suunto

I'm going to keep my comments on the Aeris and Suunto, since that's what you're asking. I'm sure replies are going to pile up trying to let you buy a more expensive computer in the $600.00 range and above. Take it for what it's worth. They are good advises. As for your question, I've never used an A...

To sell, or not to sell. News, news, and more news. That's what drives the stock market go up and down. I have PST tanks and I'll keep it for the long haul. :)

EUP, Saturday, 1-17-15

Who wants to dive EUP tomorrow? Splash around 0800. This is a shout out to all divers who have posted on the "find a buddy" section and wanting to dive EUP, or to new divers who haven't been to the Lopez Pontoon/Triumph yet. I will take you there. Consider this a tour dive if you will, cau...

[+1 on the oil rig dive. Sounds like cool dives but aren't the SoCal oil rigs a fair bit North of San Diego? I'm aware of rigs between Long Beach and Santa Barbra but that's a long boat trip from San Diego. True. It's really not that far to drive from San Diego to Long Beach. Hell, our traffic situ...

Re: Bandito lawsuit?

At this level we're just a bunch of people that weren't there, speculating about some concepts surrounding this event. As long as we weren't involved, or end up being part of the suit we can do and say whatever we want. The only limitations will be the ones imposed by this forum and social pressure...

Re: Diving Concepts replacement gloves

I resonate on what Richard has said. I bought my lined gloves at Seattle Marine, and they are dirt cheap. I have two sets of DC dry glove ring systems, but I only have one attached on one suit. Therefore, I always a carry another set of the glove end with me wherever I go.

Nice to see you too Eric, and nice pics. It was a pleasure meeting Jessica and Laura. I had a nice dive with my friend, Paul, who is still a newb, and helped him with weighting to improve his trim and buoyancy.

Dove TTN last Sunday with Scubie Doo, splashed around 5:30pm. No Stubbies or Lumpies were found... For my money, a night dive at Redondo is a near sure bet for finding Stubbies. We're getting close to Lumpy hunting season there too. Night dive in the eelgrass to the north of Salty's, or south of th...

Re: Any Lawyers out there???

The simple answer is, "yes", you could be sued. And even if you win the lawsuit, you probably are so deep in debt to cover for lawyer's fees, etc. My take on this is, if you planned the dive and advertised the dive openly, and you're at least a DM, whether or not you advertised yourself as...

I too, use a 32 lb. Hog Wing with an STA. I'll be honest though, when I first used the wing without the STA, it was wiggly on my back, but with the addition of the STA, it was like night and day. I can't make comments for the other wing designs though. I know, HOG advertises their wings without the ...
