It reminded me a lot of the lava tube by Bend that runs under Hwy 97. This seemed cooler though since it ended in water and is not run by a park service. Just a random hole out in middle of a huge field. I wonder how many more of these kind of things are out there that have not been found.

In the water my feet were sore, but it was easily overcome. Out of the water shoes of an kinda hurt and so did walking. I had bandaids and cream all over my feet to make it tolerable.

Well even with 5mm boots that does not solve rubbing problems. Just like hiking boots that are not broke in will cause rubbing issues. Difference between boots and fins though is I am not sure you can "break in" fins.

Sorry Dusty if I didn't make it clear, but I did have my Deep Sea 5mm boots on with the HOG's.

I had kinda thought about shoes, similar to boots like you would use with a DS. What would you wear under them for socks? Just regular socks? Thin socks of some kind? Special material?

In my novice experience using a WA is harder, but it will work. I have had the best luck when there is ample ambient light and the strobes are for fill light.
