Re: Whidbey Island Critters
We revisited another Glacial erratic. Last year we found numerous Buffalo and Great sculpins on it, so we named it " The Sculpin Rock". And since it is egg laying season, we were looking forward to find them there on guard duty. And we were not disappointed. They were all over the rock...H...

Re: Whidbey Island Critters
I hope someday I get a critter named after me, but definitely not via the "Bobbit" route. I wonder if he even knows he's been so honored. It's not in honor of him, it's in honor of HER scissors. :notworthy: And it only refers to a few large species that stand up with their huge jaws exten...

Re: Luxury Yacht Charter- San Juan Islands
Update,... The search for the perfect vessel goes on. I am stunned at how people can put beautiful boats up for sale and let them sit there and rot for years unattended.... We have located a prime vessel on the east coast. However there is that near six figure dollar mark attached to get her to Sea...

As I said, not sure, just that I had some encounters with similar looking slugs across from your dive site here on Whidbey.

Re: Time for some nudies from last trip
Dusty, the two first slugs look little bit like the white variant of Barnacle Eating Dorid ( Onchidoris bilamellata). Just my guess since I saw one couple days ago..

Re: Whidbey Island Critters
At first I thought I found a new color variation of Elysia. Usually I see them green. My friend Dave Behrens, expert on nudibranchs told me that it is just a hungry guy, missing chloroplasts in his diet... Learning something new. Again. And again :book: http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m147/Honza-...

I am pretty sure the nudies are the darker variant of Nanaimo Dorids ( Acanthodoris nanaimoensis), Nice photos BTW
