I did a dive very recently (I can't remember where...) and I remember seeing lots of sea star arms laying around. So yeah, I've seen this happening. I didn't know this was on a large scale though

Is HOG gear ever not on sale at DRIS? I think it always has been every time I have visited their site. I try to avoid visiting their web store too often though--it puts my wallet in severe and immediate danger!

Doh! Yeah, that might do it. I was free diving in Cove 2 a couple months ago and was using 4 lbs of lead at high tide. I went out there another day (low tide) only to find that 4 lbs was sinking me on the surface. It wasn't a small change in buoyancy either. The swing was quite drastic. So that may ...
