Cove 2 parking enforcement

Hi
Anybody know if they enforce the 2 hour parking limits at cove2 on the weekends or evenings during the non-summer season?

Re: Alki Cove II

Hi Keith! The viz was pretty good. 15 feet or so. I've had a long dry spell from Cove 2 as well, other than a few shallow ones with ScubaJess recently. It is a good one to go on a windy day, or at night. I should go back and find that octo on eggs! I still don't have an octo on eggs pic! Let me know...

Alki Cove II

Hi ScubaJess, Laura (not a member here, but hopefully soon) and I went to Cove2 today. We were going to go to the Junk Yard, but the winds kept us to the cove. Dive 1: Plan was to check out the squat lobsters and maybe some stubby squid eggs living in the rockpile uphill and north from the I-Beams. ...

Re: Winter Diving in the Hood

Very cool pics and report, Tom!

What stressed behavior did you notice? The only off thing I noticed was the cali seacumbers I uploaded a pic of and also the squat lobsters looked a bit less skiddish than usual. But I've only dove sund a few times.

Re: Advice for Cove 2 beginner

For a shallow dive, I like to go out, hit 40', and follow the depth line to the honey bear. Check out the pilings along the way. Especially check out the pilings sticking way up off the bottom, just near the honey bear, they are the best. They are labeled "elated jackstraw pilings" on your...

Hi
I forgot to post this one. Lots of California sea cucumbers were up off their base, with their peltate tentacles sticking out! Any one know what might be going on here? Is this normal?

Thursday at Sund Rock

Hi! ScubaJess and I did four dives at Sund Rock South Wall yesterday. It was fantastic. I've only been to Sund Rock a couple times and I really got to like this place quite a bit during the dives. Lots of cool critters to be found when you move slow. We saw 7 species of nudibranch, tons of squat lob...

Haha, thanks to BillZ I have secured a canopy for tomorrow!!!

Any one doing a night dive + social hour at Redondo or 3tree tomorrow? we may join you after our day dives!

I'm thinking of taking off every second Thursday for the rest of the year for diving. tides are good those days.

Hey Eric - I can't make the Thursday dive but you can borrow my king canopy if you'd like. I'll be in the Microsoft campus/DT Bellevue area all day tomorrow and could bring it with me. Not sure what you're driving now-a-days but the canopy is about 6ft long.... Great! Thank you so much! I work in D...
