For instruction, there are many great instructors in the area. I use Bob Bailey (Grateful Diver). Tanks, go with Steels, as AL tanks go positive buoyancy when empty, steels dont. Can also scootch your tank abit higher in your BCD too. But I carry 4 pds of trim weight in the trim pockets on my BP.

Bob taught me the superman move, which I find given I wear those heavy ass Rocket Fins, helps to counter being foot heavy as well.
