Re: Best options for cold water/warm water hybrid bp&w rig

I have a Hollis 38lb wing that I use for both warm and cold. I have a steel blackplate and webbing for cold, and an aluminum backplate and webbing set up for warm. Two screws, plates switched, and I'm good for either. Simple, works for both.

Re: Do strobes blind fish?

Interesting. I have not noticed adverser responses to 99% of the critters I photograph that is more than just a general avoidance of the bubble blowing monster. That 1% has been in Seahorses, however. I have seen them repeatedly turning their head away from a photographer, giving their back to them ...

I was referring to the particulate in Hood Canal, which is definitely River runoff

Beautiful. It was really gorgeous, and for some reason unexpected (by me, anyway). One of the nicer ones I remember seeing. At least it opened up for us in Lakewood, I know lots of folks were clouded out....

Re: Viz Reports Thread

Sund Rock on Monday 1-21 above 40 fsw was pretty bad, with tons of particulate in the water no doubt from the flooding rivers. The halocline was thick and 15' deep. Below 40 fsw viz was nice, 20-25', the place to spend as much of your time as your computer would allow!

Re: Scattering remains?

Just one story... My brother was an avid fisherman. He loved Alaska. His two sons and I were in Alaska and we were out trolling for salmon in our small boat. A few words of memory, then each of us took a handful of his ashes and scattered them behind the boat as we were trolling. The only thing that...
