Just got a fire deployment so I am headed to CA for at least 2 weeks so we will not be headed your way.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Diving 9/1-9/2
We have had good luck finding folks to dive with for sure. Was looking to see if there were any spots looking better then others. After we decided that then start asking around to see if others are in.
Where we end up will make a big difference on who can come.

Where have all the tanks gone
This spring when I was looking for used tanks I came across many for sale. I picked up 2. I am now looking for 2 more and I hardly see any for sale on here or CL. Is it just that it is dive season and I should wait till fall? I am looking for another HP-100 and HP-130 with pro valves. This might be ...

Diving 9/1-9/2
We are considering coming over for the weekend and getting some diving in. How are the conditions looking for this weekend? So far we have been to Redondo for 4 dives and are doing another class with Bob so plan on spending more time there so we don't really want to diver there this time. We did 4 d...

Re: Weight System for BP/W
I am working on making weight harnesses for me and the GF. The DUI is much bigger then we want/need. We too are splitting weight between harness and BP. Weight belts dont stay in place for me. We have joined our local dive team and they dont like the fact we can not "easily ditch" our weig...

Re: Pockets, SMB, reels.
Thanks for all the replies. I was busy at work so I finally just got a chance to really look at all this stuff. So for reels it looks like the "regular" size Delrin spool with Hi-vis line is the way to go. I am still a little confused on SMB's and how they inflate. With the "oral"...

Same price as the DGE ones and DGE has done me well on my many other buys. Thanks though.

Pockets, SMB, reels.
As we are advancing through our gear it seems like time to add a few more things. It looks like we are getting to the point of needing SMB's. I have been looking around and there are a ton of choices on what to get. For now what we need is something for marking locations of stuff found on when divin...

Saying thanks
I just want to say thanks to all the experienced folks out there that take time with the new ones. I am sure it does not get said enough. This week we go to dive with some great folks, Lynne, Peter, Koos, and several other that I am sorry I can not remember their names but they all deserve thanks. T...

We are going to try to make the 4:30 as well. Leaving Tukwilla at 3:30 hopefully traffic is not too bad. Will be in a Red Chevy pick up.

Re: 7-10 afternoon/evening dives
I think we will take you up on that offer. It is Beth and I so we can partner together.
We have not been there before. Is it an easy dive to find and nav if we did a dive before the club dive?
I will be seeing if I can find some online details about it too.

7-10 afternoon/evening dives
We are in town for a couple days. Pick up our drysuits (new seals) about 1pm tomorrow and plan on hitting the water after that. We each have 2 tanks so we are good to go for 2 dives. We are staying in Tukwilla and our suits are in Tacoma so hoping to dive somewhere on this end. I will check this sit...

In town 10/11/12th
We will be on the west side for a couple days next week and would like to do some diving while we are there. We will be staying in Tukwila. On the 10th we are flexible on time but will not be there till sometime in the afternoon. On the 11th we will be free starting at 4. On the 12th we will be free...

Re: Neck seal repair
So the tire patch worked really well, stayed much dryer. Friday did 2 shallow ~25' dives (very bad vis in new area) with no problems spending about 90 min in the water. Yesterday did tender diver training with dive team. Max depth ~35' but we were in the water about 4 hrs total. It appears that mine...

Re: Hogarthian harness
Well we got them all set up and played with today and while there is still some adjusting to do they are WAY better then the Transplate harness with pads that we were using. We bought our BP/W's used and that is what came on them. We have been upgrading our gear piece by piece and it is coming along...

Got our hogarthian harnesses in and trying to get them set up. All is going quite well but one question/problem. On the belt buckle is says it goes to the right of center and http://www.globalunderwaterexplorers.org/equipment/config says this is done to keep from accidentally opening the buckle. Thi...
