Re: Shearwater to Develop Scrubber Capacity Sensor

Leon was talking about a way to do this... and it makes sense that the Navy chose Shearwater since that is the computer Innerspace uses, Navy uses the Meg... errrrr Mk28.. The seceret squirrel rumor (from the guy that would know/designed the thing) is that the Predator will have some kind of monitor...

Megalodon Training at ISC

Well yesterday was day one training with Leon at ISC on the Meg. It was a long day, 8am-7pm-ish but it was amazing how fast if went by. IMG_0372.JPG The first day was taken up with Rebreather theory, taking ALOT of the mystery out of them. P02 set point diving.. and going over the Meg's Head, Calibr...

Re: WTB: Apeks DS4's

After some back and forth the seller was a stand up guy, offered to refund my money or pay to have the reg's fixed, sent me the money today and parts are ordered.... Wally and Joshua even came up with some nice reg's for me to use until the parts come in *sniff*

So, all is well, hijack away :tomnic:

Re: WTB: Apeks DS4's

Bought them used from TDS and someone thought something was "removable" that wasn't... one needs a new body and the other might be brought back with some polishing... we are talking an IP creep of 50+psi

It's what I get... should have just bought some new ones :nutty:

Re: $225 to $250 for a neck seal?

I sent my DUI in to Mark Owens at Superior Diving Repair. He is a bit of a wily rascal in terms of communication (prefers phone calls to emails, if I remember correctly), and you'll have to ship your suit, but his prices and quality of repair/alteration are off the charts. <snip> I highly recommend...

Re: $225 to $250 for a neck seal?

$30 latex neck seal, 2 hours or so of labor... $85, $25/hr is a living wage-ish, $80/hr for the same job is stupid, we are not talking Dodge vs Ferrari here...

And as Dash just nicely pointed out, any monkey can change seals :angelblue:
