Re: Nov. 12 Scapa Flow/DAN Internship Presentation
This is a great presentation! Christine was at our store a few weeks ago and it makes me want to go dive Scotland. I have heard about the wrecks but she gives a lot of detail about what there is to see there. It is very facinating!

Re: New drysuit? Pro/con for Whites Fusion?
I am big fan of this suit. I have dove it about a dozen times and is the most streamline shell suit I have ever dove. The only reason I don't own one is that I cannot justify purchasing another suit, when my other 3 are just fine. With the MK3, the suit works perfectly. I haven't had the issues that...

On a quest for a Canon Diffusor
While in Honduras, I lost the diffusor plate for my Canon housing. It is a WP-DC7 housing. I have been using a coffee filter, inside the camera, and it works OK, but not the same. I took great photos, without a strobe last year in BC, and I am heading up there in 2 weeks and want to replace that par...

Re: OLED Atomic RGBM Dive Computer
We don't have a MSRP on it yet. We don't even expect it to be available until after the holidays. However, like all Atomic stuff, it is going to be nice. I can't wait to see it! I have been waiting about a year for it to come out...I am excited to get one and dive it.

Never mind. My tech gave me the wrong information. I thought I needed the small hole, but I don't. 3/4 inch will be fine.

looking for the impossible
I am looking for a valve. This valve exists because I have one. I need to find another. It is a 7/8 UNF yoke valve. It is for a tank needing the 7/8" (small hole) opening. These are impossible to find; I have looked on EBay and called just about anyone I knew might have one, without any luck. ]...

Beautiful Dive at Les Davis Pipeline
I was moping around the shop today, because I missed the club dive at SWSP. So, Dan decided to cheer me up and suggest we dive the Les Davis Pipline tonight. It is a deep dive, and one of the few places I will dig out the big tank and go deep. It has been a while, but dove the pipeline this evening ...

Re: Uninsured
Josh, You can apply for insurance with a private insurer. When I left my last job, COBRA was outrageously expensive. I just shopped around. I was with Regence Blue Shield for a few years, then their rates shot up. So, I shopped around again. The best prices I found was with Group Health. Normally th...

Re: Cuff Dump
I am a huge fan of cuff dumps, but I know a lot of divers who dislike them. There are different types, both have advantages and disadvantages. As a new drysuit diver, the wrist dump is a lot easier to use. As Dusty mentioned, if you raise your arm though, air comes out quickly and easily. However, t...

Re: DCS Hit, DAN, & Virginia Mason
My sister's 2 rides last year cost around $10k. DAN paid everything...no deductible. Everyone I have talked to that has DAN and has had to use it appreciates it. We are lucky to have it in our sport. Other "aggressive" sports out there do not have anything close to it.

Re: Semi Dry vs Dry
It all really depends on how much diving you plan to do. What are your goals? Here is my checklist... 1. Do you plan on diving mainly in the summer and fall? 2. Are you doing less than 12 dives a year? (less than 1 weekend day a month) 3. Are you only doing one dive at a time? If the answer is yes, ...
