Re: On digressions, jokes, and beer ...

i know we have talked this into the ground but i think some jokes like the one between pez and nwbrewer about fishstiq are funny. I only know pez and don't think i have ever met nwbrewer or mr stiq, but i can see the fun and laughter that was brought by the simple joke of saying that 'he'd actually ...

Re: Overcoming mental blocks and getting back into it

just a quick comment...you said you were diving a new back plate and harness, etc. It may seem less task loading if you only make one new change to your gear config at a time instead of five changes. then your comfort level isn't so shocked. I know its hard but getting comfortable with one change is...

Re: Port Hardy/ Browning Pass Hideaway

But Keith, if you dive port hardy first then when you guys go to Bonaire you will feel like you just wasted money and should have just spent more time in port hardy. so that being said, you should just scratch bonaire!! \:D/

Re: Drysuit training

i sort of disagree with you on using the drysuit for buoyancy. i think that the dry suit should only be used for relieving the squeeze and not for buoyancy. BCD is for buoyancy comp device. i think when a diver gets comfortable with the drysuit they will understand the concept of letting air out of ...

i agree. that is just one reason i don't work with them anymore. they were just not into educating the new divers to the fullest.

Re: Drysuit training

i dont think we need to post videos to get the point across. we are here at this site because we love diving and with that comes the appreciation of the ones that live under the water. we dont need to be told this is wrong behavior, we know its wrong.

i love the side venting feature, its great and works at shallow depths fine for me. mine is one of the original poseidons that are quite heavy (metal). they originally made them metal, switched to plastic, and now they are returning back to the metal covers.
