Shearwater Petrel GF Settings
I was diving down to the I-Beams yesterday and by the time I arrived there, pretty much a straight swim to the top of the I-beams too at around 100ft, my Petrel informed me that I had 2 minutes at 100ft before I exceeded my NDLs. Given that my buddies had 15+min on their Oceanic puck computers I wa...

Also, just FYI, reservations at Point Lobos are not that strict. I've never filled cert # of my buddies, never had any problems. They do check your cert card on entry, but may let you in alone granted that you promise to wait for your buddy. I don't know when you last dove at Lobos Vlad, but I was ...

The bs is so deep now it smells like an army of dead moles has camped out here. Mark this day on a calander...I agree with everything Jeff has to say in this thread. You can still reserve a dive team spot at Point Lobos, but the weekends are full through May 10th. They only accept 15 teams per day... Re: Fukushima theory gaining traction?
If you're worried about Fukushima, you'd better take down the smoke detectors in your house, move to a concrete-free building, and stop eating bananas. They all have orders of magnitude more radioactivity than you'll ever get from Fukushima. lol Smoke detectors and bananas don't kill millions of st...

HARD science reporting that demonstrates that the fearmongers writing stories about the radiation dangers to the Wes coast from Fukushima are full of garbage.

You need to talk to Bill Minton about the Diamond Knot. He'll take you out there.
Did you get in touch with my divemaster friends about diving in the area? They're diving Hood Canal this weekend I believe.

Does this remind anybody else of Chris and Chrissy Rouse? I can't be the only one here who read The Last Dive . Other than the fact that they were father and son and were diving on air? Nope, not at all. The Rouse's were highly trained, had all the knowledge they required and spent a very long time...

Agreed, fishb0y. And now that he's been recovered lets hope that speculation is set aside and we can get some solid information as to what happened. I suspect the result will be "death by drowning", as it usually is, but we can always hope for more information. My condolences to the family...

Re: Two Aga Divator II Masks with Buddy Phone II for sale
It's been (kindly) brought to my attention that full face masks don't seem to sell for as much as they might in other venues. Since I'm not looking to get rich off these I'm happy to lower the price.
So... $650 each, with Buddy Phone.
