Re: sunrise monday morn. 12/14
I just finished loading my camera and will pack the rest of my gear soon. If that area gets several inches of snow tonight, I'm guessing they will not open the park. The road down to the parking lot would not be the best with a lot of snow. I don't think that will be the case and I plan on being the...

We could do second dive at Fox Island west if you want. A second dive at Sunrise is usually never a possibility.

Re: Three Tree 12/3/2009
It was a great dive indeed!! Not a lot of critters out, but we are officially part of the "I've seen a Lumpsucker" club, thanks to my dive buddy that spotted the little guy. He wasn't any bigger than the size of a thumb nail!

and why did they send me a calendar? It's a very cool calendar with some good underwater shots. They told me that the calendar is free, but apparently it's a good idea that I send them a tax-deductible gift of at least $15. Anyone else get one of these "gifts" in the mail?

Ikelite S90 housing
Ikelite has just posted their housing for the S90. http://www.ikelite.com/web_two/can_s90.html It is the ultracompact variety. They say that it will accept 67 mm threaded lenses without the need for an adapter. I sure wish Ikelite would include some way to attach a fiber optic cable to their housing...

Strobe aiming question
I now have several dives with my strobe and I think that I am getting used to it. I have been trying to keep as large of an angle as I can between the strobe and camera to reduce back scatter. I still try to aim the strobe directly at the subject. Is this wrong? Should I be pointing strobe away from...

Re: DNR Lands Commissioner on artificial reefs on the radio
As long as I have a job and continue to enjoy recreational diving, I would spend money to have a local dive charter boat take me out to dive a sunken ship in the Sound. And I would not consider it "garbage". But that's just me.

Re: Anybody have an opinion about this?
I have been looking very closely at the new cases Ikelites has. The most recent one is for the JVC Picsio that records 1080P/30fps HD. I am thinking about buying it for Julie to use. They would be great for both above and below the water!

I just thought it was interesting. It seems that ST appears to be getting rid the Salvo stuff. I wondering what they are telling people in regards to warrenty and service work?
