Re: Drysuit recomendations
Thanks Lynn, that's the kind of information I was looking for. Have you ever sent it back to have it repaired or did you fix it yourself or local? and what was the turn around? I do have the Si tec neck and wrist quick change seals so it isn't a problem to change them out at all. Hi, To answer your...

Re: Tides App for iPhone
Can anyone recommend a good tides app for the iPhone? There are several in the app store but I was hoping some of you have tried some of them before I buy one. Thanks, John TideTrac V 2.1 I have tried a bunch and this is one is very cool. I love the way you can slide the time and see the tide level...

Re: Sund Rock
Wayne's observations match the ORCA Buoy data. No Low DO. Healthy water column :) You can check the site below at at anytime for real time data. You can also use the graphs to get a rough idea of visibility, and where the halocline (salinity) is. This is also where the themocline usually is. In the ...

Re: Sund Rock
Wow! Sund Rock is really nice! Did 2 dives today, North and South and could hardly believe the life. Especially above 25' it was just beautiful. Saw a BIG octopus and 2 small wolf eels and more in interesting small things than you can shake a stick at. Must get back soon. I'm jealous of those of yo...

Re: New drysuit choices
I understand that they are an acquired taste but she may be well served by the White's Fusion suits which are less size sensitive. They just came out with a back zip model that hits the $1000 price point. I saw a Fusion One right after they came out. It is a great looking suit. The orange piping an...

Re: Warm water fins
Hello all, I recently did some warm water dives with my paddle fins *HOGS). But they were pretty heavy. Those of you who use paddles (Non Split - Scuba, Turtles or other) around here, what do you use for warm water? Might be looking to get something for warm waters, as the wife and I are heading to...

Re: Water in my ear
Since diving yesterday, it feels as if I have a little water still in my right ear. Any tips on getting rid of it? Rub your finger and thumb together just outside both ears, if you notice a loss of hearing in the "water ear" you may have a wax blockage, (or any number of things.) A walk-i...

..... then along came the SITECH Antares system. This is the lowest profile ring system available: http://www.sitech.se/pages/default_uk.asp?SectionID=3363 We have been using them for several weeks and they are pretty cool. The same easy install for the suit and gloves applies and the entire unit w...

Re: Best Dry Glove System
I have to ask . . . what is it about this DC system that seems so good that you guys are willing to put up with such a complicated glove replacement procedure? I can replace a glove on my Vikings in less than five minutes, with no tools, in the field. I'm not being critical, I'm just wondering what...

Re: Undergarment questions
One word weezle thats all u need :penelope: Great product at a reasonable price.... but.. make absolutely sure it fits you. Not sorta close, but a true fit. This stuff is warm because like all thermal undergarments that work, it is thick enough, when lofted, to insulate you adequately. Extra materi...

So I just bought a Sierra via the interwebs. :supz: :supz: :supz: :supz: :supz: It should be here in 3 or 4 days. Anyone have an opinion about taking a DPV class? Yes, either have a very experienced mentor or take a class. Air sharing, dead scooter tow, setting up the tow harness and other importan...

I can wholeheartedly concur with Lynne here.. .. carry on.. We have tried many different varieties over the years. We even had Carter build us some custom ones. After all the general fiddling around, we all use the Halcyon SMB. Couple of things; use them at least occasionally to keep them in good w...

Re: Uh.....wow. 652' dive.
There are personal and business marketing aspects to extreme dives. In the late 1990's the WKPP put DIR and the Hogarthian RIg on the map with some very extreme dives. It can be said that they were doing them to protect the aquifer, and not for adventure, but having met the principles, there may hav...

if all else fails try Acetone or M.E.K. MEK seems to have gotten most of it. Enough that it's nicely faded. Why he felt the need to write his name in block letters down the tank on both sides is beyond me. When there are 10 Identical sets of doubles at the neighborhood fill station it really helps ...

Creating habitat isn't part of the official program. The official program is to remove the pilings completely and kill anything on them. Unless they have changed their methods since they destroyed the Mukilteo T-Pier all that will be left behind will be a completely shaved sand bottom - they dig as...
