DCS Films and a Lake Washington monster movie
So about 3 or four years back I shot some (SD) footage for a local filmmaker making a movie about a sea creature (I thought it was a SEA creature) and all this time I heard nothing from him. Oh well must have given up. Then today I got a strange call about how a film won some awards at STIFF (Seattl...

I was just saying that that is one reason they do it. And that, in my opinion, is okay.

Re: Diving Industry
One reason is that maybe the said person did some work for the rep/company and the company wanted to pay him for his work with the only way they could, with discounted product. It actually happens all the time.
That could be one reason.

Re: Quartermaster Harbor wrecks
The harbor wreck, I'd say you need a scooter, LOOOOONG swim. The second one we tried to access it from shore but the shore is private property (someones house) and we didn't want to wake them up. If you make nice with them, you could swim it.

Seattle Tennis Club Wrecks
Once again headed out to document a couple of wrecks in front of the Seattle Tennis Club, an old collapsed hull, and a wooden scow. Approximately in 25-30 FFW.

Quartermaster Harbor wrecks
Bigsky and I went out to search for some of NOAA's targets in Quartermaster Harbor Vashon Island. Great place, flat plains underwater, lot's of jellyfish and we found two wrecks. We scootered from shore one day, and the second got a ride from a guy we met out there. But you'll see that in the video....

Walter had a good idea as well, maybe i can get in touch with Kent and ask him if he'd be interested in sharing some of the sub footage from years ago... Add that to their footage and correlate with new stuff and see what we can come up with!! that would ROCK!! I just talked to Gary Severson a few ...

Re: Tofino, BC and Clayoquot Sound
Well, we have arrived! The scenery here is GORGEOUS and we enjoyed it all the way here on the road. Right now I'm looking at a marvelous view of the Tofino harbor from my hotel balcony, and I'm just drinking the splendor in! The diving starts tomorrow morning, and we're hoping that the scenery unde...

Re: Admiral Sampson
I am so grateful that Dan is willing to 'give up' part of his dive (and his post production time after the dive) to share the wreck with us, because i know that pushing a camera along does "change the experience". I figure if I'm going to "document" these wrecks, what good is fi...

I originally wanted a guy named Mark T. for the interview but the wind was too noisy to hear him. Should have brought the dead rat.

Admiral Sampson
Our team went and dived the Admiral Sampson a couple times here recently and had two AWESOME dives. The surface conditions the first day were flat calm seas, with the second being a little rougher. We had a planned time of 25 minutes on the bottom with a total run-time of around 160 minutes. Our goa...

Re: Lake Washington Houghton wreckage
Looks like a barge hatch. on old bulk barges they would have several hatches that are very similar to what that is. They are domed up so they can fill them to capacity and keep the contents dry. The holes were so gain or coal could be filled into the hold without taking the whole hatch off. but the...
