I hope you can get out to Darwin and Wolf. Katrina and I were out there 12 years ago. If you have some extra cash I might think about getting a PLB or a radio in a canister for diving out there. We surfaced quite a distance away from our tender and it took him a couple of minutes to find us. There i...

I agree with Captain Jack. Periodic air sampling does not tell you much. Constant monitoring and proper filter selection is better. I think you will find anyone willing to set up their own compressor will be more informed of these issues than the minimum wage temporary dive shop tank employee.

Bob, I thought you were DIR trained? ;) Slinging a AL40 full of air is not DIR and I am a little confused at how you could recommend that or a pony bottle??? A slung bottle is great to have but the gas in it is not readily accessible. You still need to turn the bottle on and deploy the hose. Solo di...

Personally I would stay away from the light cannon. It's no brighter than the UKD8R 30W. If you really really cant afford a canister light then the UKD8R 30W would be my choice. 10W HID canisters lights have come down in price but you will have to search around. Stick with the spot over the flood. B...
