Re: I need some help.

What camera are you using? + 1 on the diffusers and the fill flash power setting... If you can, use Manual mode, force flash and the smallest f-stop @1/250th or 1/500th sec. otherwise you may have too much flash and not be able to balance them out or dial them down far enough to keep from blowing ou...

Re: Kaua'i trip - Warm Water! Cool Critters! Fun!

Glad to hear you liked the warmer water. The wife, my son and I went to Kona on the Big Island last year and I got to do some diving for a couple days. I loved the DM saying visibility would not be that good today, I just laughed and told her where I was from. I remembered being worried since I div...

Re: First Time Ever At Muk

Very cool... I've yet to see a Red out there and to find one on eggs is truly cool... The T-dock is many things but rarely disappointing... I dive there quite a bit since it's 10 min from home, give a shout if you need a buddy on the weekends... You've never seen a red there? Best to find them at a...

Nah... These ones were buried in the silt and it was just dumb luck they were spotted at all... In my youth those would've been on my wall rather than a lake bed... :supz:

Deer Lake Cleanup

A group of us from Evergreen Dive did a lake cleanup at the County Park on Deer Lake, Whidbey Island yesterday... 7 divers and 1 shore person managed to bring out 2 bags of cans, 1 bag of bottles, 1 bag of assorted trash, 1 crawdad pot, 2 road signs, 1 VW roof, and 1 car fender... (and we're talking...

Re: ID Please

It was a pretty amazing dive and I had a great time... So much to see and so little time to do it in... I can't wait to get back over there and do a couple more... Hopefully I'll be trying out a new (to me) camera too, my Intova doesn't do all that well with Macro so most of my close-ups are done in...

Thanks Jan!!! I've never run across either of those before and now that I've finally dove the fingers and hope to do it more often, maybe I can get some better shots the next time out... Even though it's a bit of effort to do the site, OMG it is so worth it... I think I may have a new favorite site....

While diving the Possession Pt. Fingers yesterday I came across a Crab and a Star? that I've not seen before... The crab photo doesn't give much to go on because he was tucked way back in the crack and wasn't coming out for love nor money... But the star was just hanging around on the wall and looki...

Re: CLUB DIVE!!! Saturday March 31!!!

The question is whether I will be able to stay awake for all of this. I just woke up, so I will probably be sleeping during the 3 hr SI's after getting my tanks filled. I only own two, so where is the nearest fill station to those sites? Evergreen Dive service on 47th and Evergreen or Edmonds UW Sp...
